Sheila Fleet Enamelled Silver Brooch
This exquisite 'Runic' brooch design was inspired by the Stone Age tomb, Maes Howe, which was built around 3000BC in Orkney. In the 12th century Vikings broke into the tomb and carved runes on the chamber walls, scribed by our ancestors. This particular brooch has a mark on the outer edge where you start to read the runes clockwise; it reads 'Reflecting times past and present'. This message represents very much what Sheila's designs are all about, drawing on inspiration on the past and present, interpreting it into beautiful jewellery collections.
