We've teamed up with several key component manufacturers to offer Custom PC readers the chance to win an awesome Liquidator PC worth £3,000. As you might imagine, given its name, the Liquidator is a water-cooled PC, but that's not all that's special about it - the Liquidator also includes all sorts of other high-spec components.
For starters, the Intel Core i7-950 CPU is housed in a Biostar X58 motherboard, so there's plenty of horsepower to spare. Team has also supplied a plentiful 12GB of PC3-1866 DDR3 memory and a pair of 64GB MLC NAND flash SSDs configured together in a RAID array.
That's not all though, as Gigabyte has also got its generous hat on this month, not only providing the 3D Mercury case with integrated water-cooling, but also an 800W Odin PSU and a pair of GeForce GTX 285 graphics cards, running together in SLI.
The Liquidator is a complete PC, not just a system unit, and so is accompanied by a large 23.6in AOC 2434Pw TFT monitor, which has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and an HDMI input. Microsoft, Genius and Emprex have also dug deep, providing a selection of keyboards, mice, a joystick and speakers to use with the Liquidator.
The Liquidator is pre-installed with 64-bit Vista, but a free upgrade to 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate will be made available as soon as Microsoft releases the final retail version of the new operating system.
