Viewfinder competition April 8th: win a £150 hotels.com voucher @ The Guardian
Product: Viewfinder competition: win a £150 hotel voucher
Period: Once
Availability: Online
It's time for the weekly Viewfinder comp.
This sunny island capital will be exploding with joy today after a week of solemn Easter ritual. Citizens will throw flowers and play music, then they might head for a poetic-sounding beach beneath a headland where Satan could sit, or picnic on the slopes of a lupine peak.
Twitchers might spot flamingoes on one of two lagoons. Name the city.
This week’s winner will receive a £150 voucher from Hotels.com which can be used at more than 120,000 places to stay across the world, from quirky B&Bs and family boltholes to boutique hotels. Hotels.com customers can get a night free for every 10 stayed with its rewards scheme.
Email your answer by Thursday 12 April to viewfinder@observer.co.uk or send a postcard, with address and phone number, to Viewfinder, The Observer, Kings Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9GU.
My answer: Cagliari, Sardinia
Poetto is the closest and most popular beach to Cagliari
The flag is the official flag of Sardinia(since 1999)
The lagoons are Santa Gilla and Molentargius
The final picture is of Torre dell'Elefante in Cagliari (tower of the elephant).
Good luck!
