1 of 4 FRITZ!Box 7490 wireless AC router worth £245 each
AVM makes really fantastic routers. The latest model in the company’s FRITZ!Box range is the 7490, which introduces wireless 802.11ac technology. If your Mac is wireless AC too (as almost all the current range are), you can get up to 1300Mbps throughput speed and a wider reach for your wireless network. If you use an older Mac that isn’t wireless AC there’s no problem: it’s backwards compatible with earlier standards.
The FRITZ!Box 7490 is packed with useful features, such as parental controls, guest access and USB 3.0 ports so you can network your printer or storage drive. It even has a built-in DECT base station, to which you can connect up to six DECT phones. It’s simultaneous dual band too, so your WiFi gear can use the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wavebands at the same time.
A FRITZ!Box 7490 wireless AC router costs £245, but we’ve got four to give away.
