Damsel in a Dress is a relatively new label, yet within just a couple of years the brand has filled a gap in the market for gorgeously stylish dresses in beautiful prints that are on-trend yet truly flattering to real women’s bodies.
Created by Amanda Seabourne and Alison Mansell, who is also the designer, it is a label by women for women. Both Amanda and Alison understand that a dress needs to be many things – brilliantly flattering in its cut and shape, versatile so that with a quick change of footwear and jewellery it can take you from a busy working day to a dinner date, and in a spirit-lifting colour or print so that it makes you feel fabulous whenever you put it on.
Having started with a collection of dresses plus the occasional matching jacket, they have expanded their collection to include tunics, tops, skirts, trousers, jackets and coats, with prices from around £110 for a dress. They also offer occasion wear, bridal wear and Mother of the Bride outfits.
The new autumn collection features a striking colour palette of plum, pink, deep inks and moody blues used for plains, prints and bold colour blocking. Cleverly cut draped jersey dresses in neutrals or autumn tones such as teal, blue, plum and crimson are designed to make the wearer look and feel beautiful, from day into evening, while a range of brightly coloured coats inject a pop of colour into your winter wardrobe.
