This free prize draw is open to anyone aged 18 or over who is a resident of the UK or the Republic of Ireland who holds a valid passport, except for employees of The Random House Group Limited (promoter), its subsidiary companies, their families and any other company connected with the competition.
The closing date for the competition is 11.59pm on 7 September 2012 (closing date). Entries that are illegible or received after this date will not be considered. The promoter is not responsible for entries delayed or lost in the post.
The prize is for 2 people sharing a double room for 3 nights in the Columbia Hotel in Rome, and includes return flights from a London airport (prize). The prize excludes baggage and airport transfers. Departure dates, flights and hotel are subject to availability. Spending money, travel insurance, airport taxes and any other expenses incurred such as telephone calls, laundry, food, drinks etc are not included and are the responsibility of the prize winner to settle. Holiday must be taken between 4 November 2012 and 30 April 2013. Exclusions apply during Christmas, New Year and Easter. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
No cash alternative will be offered. Prize is not-transferable.
Events may occur which render the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and the promoter may, at its absolute discretion, vary, amend, suspend or withdraw the prize with or without notice.
The winner will be the first entry drawn at random by an independent person within 14 days of the closing date (i.e. 21 September 2012). The winner will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date (i.e. 5 October 2012).
The winner agrees to the promoter’s use of their name, town of residence and photograph in relation to the promoter’s publicity material.
Your personal details will only be retained and used by the promoter in order to send you your prize and will be deleted thereafter unless you have ticked the appropriate box. Your personal details will not be passed on to any third parties.
The winner’s name will be available upon the promoter’s receipt of a stamped addressed envelope.
The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the competition.
