Win a holiday for two to Aruba in the Caribbean!
Rules: TERMS & CONDITIONS:
The competition opens Thursday 17 May 2012, and closes at 23:59 Sunday 17 June 2012.
Entrants must be residents of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, and aged 18 or over
to qualify. Proof of residency may be required to qualify valid entrants. Employees of Sunglass Hut
(the promoter) and the individual prize partners (The Aruba Tourism Authority, Kuoni, Manchebo
Beach Resort & Spa and Travelpromos) are ineligible to enter this promotion. The Promoter
reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Participants.
Entry is via competition forms in selected stores or online via the Sunglass Hut UK & Ireland
website. No purchase necessary. All data collected will be pooled for the competition prize draw.
Incomplete entries will not be included. It is the entrants' responsibility to complete the entry
form in full. The promoter (and prize partners) are not responsible for any technical issues (or
other) which impede an entrants' entry being submitted correctly and/or in full. The promoter
(and prize partners) are not responsible for any changes in e‐mail, mailing address and/or
telephone numbers provided at time of entering the prize. The promoter (and prize partners) are
in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party web site or home page
access which reproduction misstates or omits any of the information or terms and conditions
connected with the promotion.
The competition prize draw will take place in early July 2012, with the lucky selected prize winner
notified in July 2012. The winner will be chosen at random by an independent judge. The judge’s
decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into. Once notified (via the email
address supplied at point of entry), the winner will have 21 days to reply with acceptance of their
prize. Should the selected winner not reply within 21 days of being notified, then it will be deemed
that the prize winner has forfeited their prize, and a re‐draw will take place. Same rules will apply
for the re‐drawn winner (should this scenario occur). If after 21 days there has been no
acceptance notification received, then the prize will be cancelled.
The ONE competition prize consists ONLY of the below items:
• 2x return economy flights from selected UK airports to Aruba
• 7x nights (two adults sharing one Deluxe Ocean View Room) at the Manchebo Beach
Resort & Spa, half board (including daily buffet breakfast and daily a’la carte dinner –
beverages not included
• 2x return resort transfers (within Aruba)
Please note that the following items are NOT included in the prize:
• UK airport transfers
• Food and beverage not included in half board at the resort
• Spending money
• Any other excursions, travel, attractions or tips
• Any other personal or medical costs
• Travel insurance and visas
All other expenses are the responsibility of the prize winner/s.
The prize winner, and their travelling companion, must travel together (on both outbound /
inbound flights). Both must be over 18 years of age. Both must hold a valid in‐date passport, and
visa (if required) for travel to Aruba (to be pre‐arranged by, and at cost to the winners). Travel
insurance is NOT included in the prize, and prize winners must obtain travel insurance for their
trip, pre‐departure.
The prize is valid till, and must be taken in full by 15 December 2012. Please note that the prize
travel is subject to availability, and that both the availability of relevant flight seats and relevant
rooms must match. Black‐out dates apply, and include (but are not exclusive to) UK and Aruba
public holidays and school holidays. Availability restrictions will also apply during major cultural or
sporting events.
The prize cannot be exchanged, refunded or redeemed for cash or any other prize. Once a booking
has been made and confirmation provided to the prize winner, no further changes to the booking
are allowed. No upgrades allowed. Prize winners are responsible for any payment over and above
the prize cost (if agreed) and this balance must be paid eight weeks prior to travel.
This prize promoter has the right to change or withdraw the competition and/or prize elements at
any time, and without prior notice. The prize promoter (and prize partners) also reserve the right
to provide substitute prizes (of similar value) should the specified prizes become unavailable for
reasons beyond their control.
The prize promoter and prize partners do not take any responsibility for any liabilities, nor do they
take any responsibility for any disappointment, injury or loss incurred by the prize winner from
accepting the prize or participating in the promotion.
By entering this promotion and ticking to accept the competition terms and conditions, you accept
that Sunglass Hut UK & Ireland, and the prize partners, may use your name for their promotional
and publicity purposes, without the payment of any fee, nor the requirement for prior notification
or permissions. You also accept that by entering this promotion, you will automatically be
subscribed to future communications by Sunglass Hut UK & Ireland and the individual prize
partners, however you may unsubscribe from each individual company's communications at any
time.
By entering this competition, you agree to and accept the above terms and conditions. Full airline
and hotel terms and conditions also apply, as do further Kuoni terms and conditions. The
individual prize partners are only responsible for providing and booking their individual elements
of the prize. Further terms and conditions apply and may be requested from the prize promoter in
writing. This promotion is governed by English law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the English
Courts.
