These swirls of rock look like they could belong to a McVitie's Ice Gem factory. But we're far from the UK. Almost 4,000ft above sea level, this incredible slot canyon, often nicknamed 'the corkscrew', is on the largest land area retained by a native people in the country. It's been created over many thousands of years by the relentless forces of water and wind, slowly carving and sculpting the sandstone into curious forms and textures. Those who dare venture here should keep their wits about them. In 1997, 11 tourists were swept away by a flash flood, so visits are limited to guided tours that lead you through narrow, winding paths - about 1,335ft long and 120ft deep - and up and down steel ladders anchored into the canyon walls. The view changes constantly as the sun moves across the sky, filtering rays of sunshine across the stone walls. These ever-shifting angles bounce light back and forth, creating an extraordinary display of colour from scorching red and mellow orange to pretty pink and deep purple, which explains why this spot is so popular with photographers. Where are you? Identify the place described above.

MY ANSWER: Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona

NOTE:
You may want to specify Lower Antelope Canyon but I think the above is sufficient.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antelope_Canyon
Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as "Upper Antelope Canyon" or "The Crack"; and "Antelope Canyon" or "The Corkscrew"

Inside Lower Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon is visited exclusively through guided tours, in part because rains during monsoon season can quickly flood the canyon. Rain does not have to fall on or near the Antelope Canyon slots for flash floods to whip through, as rain falling dozens of miles away 'upstream' of the canyons can funnel into them with little prior notice. On August 12, 1997, eleven tourists, including seven from France, one from the United Kingdom, one from Sweden and two from the United States, were killed in Lower Antelope Canyon by a flash flood.

Today, ladder systems have been bolted in place, and deployable cargo nets are installed at the top of the canyon.
