We've teamed up with Jaques of London to offer two readers a Ping Pong set, worth £59.99 each.

New for Christmas 2014, Original Ping Pong has been launched by Jaques of London as an exact replica of John Jaques III’s very first design for Ping Pong. The game is reproduced exactly as it was in 1901, complete with original artwork. The set includes two bats, three balls, antique-finished wooden posts, two solid brass clamps and one net that can be adapted to fit any table.

The two steam-bent bats have solid wooden frames and handles and are covered with the finest grade vellum, which is glued and hand-stitched into place. The vellum creates a drum effect, which produces a very satisfactory “ping pong” sound.

The idea is to simply clear the table after dinner, attach the net to the posts, screw the solid brass clamps - cushioned by soft pad - onto the table, and let the games begin!

Jaques of London is the proud inventor and introducer of many of our best-loved British pastimes, including Croquet, Happy Families, Ludo, Tiddledy Winks and Snakes & Ladders.

All games are available to buy at http://www.jaqueslondon.co.uk 3 for 2 across all games until 25 December 2015.

What was recently revealed as the most popular time of year for men to propose?

Answer: Christmas Eve
