Aiming to create a laid-back atmosphere where you can listen while relaxing on a sofa with a glass of something cold, The Little Orchestra are performing two contrasting pieces consecutively this September at Back2Back.
The night kicks off at 8:30pm with Ludwig van Beethoven’s elegant yet energetic 2nd Symphony. This is a piece which shows a remarkable composer flexing and developing his symphonic muscles after the success of his 1st symphony a few years earlier. Beethoven is then followed by Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto which, despite its somewhat challenging birth into the world, has become one of the most loved of all 20th-century violin concertos, with its heart-melting beauty and high-octane drama in the finale. After the music, the party continues afterwards with the Eriko Ishihara jazz duo, more food, drink and mingling from 10.00pm until midnight.
We've got 2 tickets to give away to one lucky reader to see The Little Orchestra perform Beethoven and Barber Back2Back on 15th September in the specially decorated Oval Space, Bethnal Green.
