War At Sea In The Age Of Nelson
We have two places to give away to the five-day International Trafalgar Bicentennial Conference, War at Sea in the Age of Nelson from 4-9 September. Organised in co-operation with the National Maritime Museum and SeaBritain 2005, the Christ Church, Oxford conference has attracted eminent speakers on the subject such as Dr Colin White, Director of Trafalgar 200 at the National Maritime Museum, Professor Roger Knight, author of a new biography of Nelson to be published this year, Professor Anthony Lambert, professor of Naval History at King's College London and Professor John Hattendorf of the US Naval War College who will be speaking on the birth of the US Navy.

There are also excursions to the National Maritime Museum, HMS Victory and the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Conference Delegates stay in Christ Church's student study bedrooms located in buildings of architectural and historical interest. All meals are taken in the Great Hall, built during the reign of Henry V111.
