We’ve teamed up with Newcastle’s top new restaurant, Dobson & Parnell, to give you the chance of winning a seven-course tasting dinner with matching wines for two worth £200.
Menus change every week depending what is in season, but you should expect see dishes such as day boat mackerel with heritage potatoes, Eyemouth crab, avocado puree; halibut cooked in brown butter with apricot and chorizo samphire, rare-breed pork with pineapple with Darling Blue Mayen Gold, and Valrona Manjari with salt caramel and peanut butter.
The vegetarian version of the menu features preserved vegetable salad, North Country shoots, slow-cooked egg charred broccoli with pickled radish and sourdough, North Country beetroots with celeriac remoulade, and potato pasta, mushroom, truffle and parmesan.
The taster-size portions are aimed at giving you a taste of what’s across Dobson & Parnell’s menu and you can enjoy each course with carefully selected matching wines.
The tasting menu, priced at £65 per person for seven courses, and £100 per person for seven courses with wine pairing, is available from 5.30pm to 9pm between Tuesday and Saturday, for a maximum of eight guests per table. Guests are advised to allow two and a half to three hours to fully savour the tasting menu experience.
