Need a nice place to your media files on your network? Look no further. Nas box maker Synology and hard drive company Western Digital have come together with Reg Hardware to offer one lucky reader the latest in easy-to-use network storage.
What we have here is Synology's DS110+ units equipped with the first multi-tasking OS for Network Attached Storage (Nas) devices, DiskStation Manager (DSM) 3.0. That means it can back up your data and keep it secure, host IP cameras, automate BitTorrent downloads, and provide FTP, Web, iTunes, DLNA/UPnP server services.
You can read the full specs of the DS110+ at the Synology website. You can get more news about Synology's products at its Facebook page.
From WD we have a 2TB Caviar Green Sata hard drive that has the capacity you need for your content and the speed to save and stream it quickly. And its über power-efficient too. Full details on the Caviar Green page on WD's website.
Put the two together and you have a media powerhouse ready to send content to your computer, smartphone or games console.
