Day 1: Fly to Ecuador. Overnight in Quito
Day 2: City tour of Colonial Quito & visit to the Equator Line. Overnight in Quito
Day 3: Take a journey down the famous Avenue of the Volcanoes, to see the near perfect volcanic cone of Cotopaxi. From here, descend towards the town of Patate, to spend the night at a 300-year old hacienda, hidden amongst the mountains.
Day 4: Continue to Riobamba, via the town of Baños. Baños means baths, and is home to thermal waters which emerge from the Tungurahua Volcano above.
Day 5: Head further south to experience a train ride down the Devil’s Nose canyon before visiting the beautifully constructed Inca ruins of Ingapirca. Your overnight tonight will be in Cuenca.
Day 6: At your own leisure explore charming Cuenca; known as the city of flowers and praised for its beautiful colonial architecture. This UNESCO listed city enjoys an ideal climate at 2500m. Continue to Guayaquil.
Days 7-9: Your fantastic Galapagos cruise will include North Seymour Island, where land and marine iguanas share the grounds with blue footed boobies and Galápagos sea lions, as well as Española Island, the only home of the waved albatross (April to December) and Floreana Island, where nesting sea turtles (December to April), greater flamingos, and giant tortoises can be found.
Day 10: Departure transfer for international flight
