A two night breakaway at Holbeck Ghyll
Living North are delighted to have teamed up with the award-winning Holbeck Ghyll to offer a two-night stay for two in what is one of Living North's favourite hotels. The prize also includes dinner in the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant, breakfast and two hours of spa treatments.

The hotel is more like a beautiful private home than a hotel, with no two rooms the same, whether you choose to sink into an armchair by the inglenook fireplace with the morning’s newspaper, or rest your fell-weary limbs in one of the sumptuous lounges overlooking the Lake District. This is the perfect spot to recharge your batteries.

As well as 13 beautiful rooms and suites in the main house, there are a further six rooms in The Lodge, two luxury cottages, two fabulous suites and the Miss Potter suite where Hollywood star Renée Zellweger lived whilst filming Miss Potter. All the bedrooms, suites and lodges are special. You can enjoy an intoxicating view over Windermere – voted among the top 15 in the world – decanters of locally-distilled damson gin, fresh flowers, luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and robes, private terraces and even a hot tub or two.

Recognised as one of the best restaurants in the country, the hotel's elegant oak-panelled dining room is the place to enjoy fine dining courtesy of chef David McLaughlin. Awarded a Michelin star for 12 consecutive years, Holbeck Ghyll serves only the finest food, locally sourced where possible. Coupled with an extensive wine list and beautiful views, this is the ultimate gastro-getaway.
