Win tickets to Aberdeen Booked! Festival.
After a stunningly successful outing last summer, the Edinburgh International Book Festival is back in the Granite City this August for another Aberdeen Booked! Festival, laying on a literary feast in ACT Aberdeen for two days (Thu 24 – Fri 25 Aug).
Along with two afternoons filled with free sessions for schools, Aberdeen Booked! Festival offers events for all ages and tastes, including Unbound, a free cabaret of music and stories featuring great writers and performers from the north east, and an hour in the company of two of Europe’s finest crime writers, Arne Dahl and Michel Bussi.
This is your chance to win a pair of tickets to two brilliant events. On Thursday night meet Jake Arnott, the bestselling British writer whose debut novel The Long Firm became a BAFTA-nominated BBC TV series, as he introduces his new tale of crime and justice set in 1720s London, The Fatal Tree. Then on Friday evening learn all about the life and work of one of Scotland’s finest artists, Joan Eardley, who drew inspiration from rural Aberdeenshire, as Anne Galastro introduces her co-authored companion to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art’s recent exhibition.
