well I finally got my upgrade disk from dell and after reading how to install it online everyone reccomended I do a clean install which I did, the problem is ive got windows 7 installed finally looks good but now my recovery drive is practically full and wont allow me to install or add any files kee more...

Missus old laptop (Toshiba Portege M100) had a nice loud clunking noise last night and sounded like the hdd died. It's not rebooting past the Toshiba logo stage now so methinks it's time for a new drive.

Where is the best place to get a smallish internal 2.5 hdd from? - Only had a 60gb in more...

It's a Sony Vaio PCG-7Z1L with windows vista and I believe the spec is a 1.6ghz CPU, 1gb DDR ram, 200gb hdd, DVD-rw, 15.4 inch screen ect.

I pulled out the HDD out of the presario laptop a while ago and iI have now managed to link it up to my home comp wired
Thing is, when I go into the Presario file after C: I only have a recovery file and nothing in it

Although 8gb of it is in use there seems nothing that i can view :)
