Sony Ericsson unbranded K800i for £201 delivered on 02 pay as you go!

£201.00

27°

FOUND BY: simbob 2 years, 4 months ago

**WARNING**

This deal only applys to NEW customers only, read on for details:

Right, well GREAT UNIVERSAL offer a 20% off your FIRST order (this is how the deal works out so cheap) on top of this they also do a cashback scheme. There cash back scheme is they give you £1 for every £10 you spend, and the cash back can be paid directly off your account.

They have this phone listed at £279 delivered, but after doing the maths for a FIRST TIME CUSTOMER. £279 - 20% = £223.20

THEN the cashback should be £22 (£1 for every £10 you spend) you will have the option of paying this cash back, off of your account.

SO; £223 - £22 = £201 they give free delivery when you order ONLINE so basically, £201 for this great phone BRAND NEW!!!!

They offer the phone in 20 weekly payments INTEREST FREE, or 40 weekly payments INTEREST FREE. Choose either that you wish as you wont be paying any more or less for the phone.

ALSO when your filling out your info etc, when it has the option to enter a gift code, enter '20' for the 20% off

ON TOP OF THAT Sony Ericsson are required (and do) under new European Union LAW to provide 2 years warrenty on this phone (i have read around on the web and this seems to be correct)

Good idea simbob! Quidco do 8% cashback for this merchant, which would be £17 (on £223), but there is the chance they may not honour this, as you are using the 20% discount code at the same time.

Thanks for this - just ordered one as a new customer.

My Receipt does not mention the 20% off and shows a grand total of £279.00 (I did enter the"20" code)

Will the 20% off show on my account - or has the order gone wrong?

Hello Guys,

I am a bit confused by this - why is it such a good deal?

Its quite sexy saying that you can do this offer using this discount plus that discount then go via Quidco and maybe get a further discount to come up with a much lower figure but sometimes it seems overcomplicated.

The way I read it is that you get a brand new K800i for £201 on an 02 PAYG deal. In addition you will probably spend in excess of £10 per month (PAYG) to give you about 40-50 minutes per month OR 84 texts per month OR a combination of both. This will cost you an average of at least £26.75 per month.

I've just been to the 02 site where you can get a brand new K800i phone, NEXT DAY, on a £25 per month tariff that gives you 100 minutes PLUS 500 texts per month. No 3 week delivery or 'new customer' requirements.

I am sure that there are better deals, probably with cashback elsewhere if you wanted to look further afield.

What am I missing?

NP, the 20% doesnt come into effect until they bill you, ie when they come to charge you that is when your discount will apply.

i emailed greatuniversal and asked them if the discount still applyed even if you were to simply pay outright for the phone, they said it would,

but if you were doing it like that, id probably suggest ringing them up and doing it over the phone.

because some people dont want to be stuck in bills etc, they want to pay for a product, and only be able to spend what ever ammount they put on,

and as for 02, with there sim cards when you top up by £10 a month, you get 300 free texts, and your £10 to do as you wish with it (sending these 300 free texts wont take any money off of your ballance)

Surely paying over £5 PER WEEK for 40 weeks to Great Universal is a regular commitment ("stuck in bills") and topping up by £10 per month to get 300 free texts is a regular commitment.

So you would rather pay £201 up front rather then spread the payment INTEREST FREE over 40 weeks. Hmmm.

it was a suggestion, your contradicting your initial post, progressively saying its not a good deal, try looking about for this phone oon pay as you go in the shops, if you find cheaper then £201 then fair enough, if not then be quiet,

the total cost of the contract you are on about is £450...........
