Can't speak for this one, but I've used Roombas and the Electrolux Trilobite and they clean a carpet surprisingly well. Most impressed with the Roomba - fairly cheap, the sidebrush that flicks out to clean up to the edges is great, and there are loads of spares available - robot cleaners don't tend to be the worlds most reliable gadgets.

Oh, and do be aware it'll probably take about an hour to clean a good size room and be very noisy - no putting your feet up watching tv while it does all the work!

this model appears to be very similar to the model on offer from B&Q last year, made in china as a cheapo alternative to the Romba. It was £30 at B&Q and I took it back after a few months as it sucked big time, it didn't actually have any suction lol. it made a lot of noise but thats about it. hopefully this isn't the same model but please bear this in mind when buy cheapo versions of the romba. charlie

From ebuyer reviews :-

:
looks like this robot vacum is made or supplied by
http://szuniversal.manufacturer.glob...um-cleaner.htm

They list another model on their site SU211 which seems to be the model that returns to its base to charge. So this one it would seem you have to plug it in to charge. It also seems that the model SU210BR is the one that come with a remote so again it seems that this one has no remote. I hope Ebuyer get the other models also at a good price as i am very tempted but those extra features remote/self recharge are a must for me.

For those interest you may also want to check out roombas probably the best known robot vacuums.

Worth noting the suction power - 2.4 Watts. The Trilobite is 90 watts, the Roomba is 30 watts. That translates to it basically not being able to do much in the way of suction!

Also, the Roomba has a 3600mAh battery, this is 1000mAh. That translates to much reduced running time (or would if it weren't for the fact that it's basically not sucking anything up).

All in all - although it's rather difficult to find confirmed stats about the two major products in the field, this is a really poor offering. hopefully they'll improve it over time

Maybe they'll start selling the http://szuniversal.manufacturer.glob...um-Cleaner.htm which looks more useful - 22W suction and 2400mAh (at a guess) battery...

I just love the Roomba.. So unsure about this.. It does however look like a Roomba Series 1, rebadged??

lol put it this way my old bissell carpet sweeper did a better job. you would of expected with all the noise the darn thing made, it would be able to pick up a crushed corn flake, but it couldn't lol. charlie
