I very much doubt that anybody here will get Quidco on a pre-order from Game that is not due out in less than 3 months time.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, GAME orders only track on Quidco once the order has been shipped. If you order now, and it does not track, then you cannot file a missing transaction enquiry as Quidco and the Merchants only track orders as far back as 3 months from the present day.

I've had many 'early' pre-orders fail to track with GAME where I've placed an order more than 3 months in advance of release. I've also had plenty of 'near release' pre-orders track perfectly. Items that are ordered instock are also tracked perfectly.

On the 2nd October (just after the release of Halo 3) I opened a ticket (note ticket, not missing transaction enquiry as I could not select the correct time of order from the fixed selection) on Quidco regarding a pre-order I had made for the Halo 3 Legendary set. I set out the ticket as if I were able to log a missing transaction enquiry.

After waiting almost two months I got the following response:
Before anybody says "you should have logged a missing transaction enquiry sooner":
There is no way for you to chase GAME or Quidco up early pre-orders because of this.

well i suppose you could wait 2 months check to see if game have another discount code up, cancel pre-order and re-order through quid co just to get the cashback lol

Well I would if there was another code around at the time that would have give me the same/better deal.

I'm not trying to take a swing at GAME or Quidco, but the fact of the matter is Quidco is not a guarantee. It's a damn shame that in some cases if you want to secure an item on release (take the Wii for example) you need to pre-order well in advance (majority of the time) to secure an item on release.

I was messed around by Play.com with the 360 release. I placed a pre-order with them after ~30 min's of the official RRP price being listed (17th August if I remember correctly). It was my first of what turned out to be 3 pre-orders (other with Game after ~35 min's of being available online and the other with Argos placed at the beginning of October). If you had placed a bet on which of the 3 pre-orders I would have received (on the assumption of first come first served) then I should have been guaranteed the order from Play.com.

Without going further off topic (and to cut a long story short) I received my GAME 360 pre-order on release, my Argos pre-order on release (before my GAME order had arrived) and ****** all from Play.com until mid December :(.

I shop smart with GAME and make sure that I order always through Quidco and make use of any discount codes where available.

I've scored Gears of War, Halo 3 standard edition, Dead Rising and, on it's release, Alan Wake for £19.99 inc delivery from GAME (with the use of some clever code work at the time). None of the shipped games tracked in Quidco, though as I have mentioned above, different orders that were placed for instock or near release items tracked fine (doesn't include any of my £19.99 pre-orders).

Does seem unfair that you have no comeback if they decide not to pay the quidco on these long-term pre-orders but I reckon it's worth going with anyway.

As someone said previously if Game, or anyone else, come up with a better offer b4 release you can always cancel this one. Even if you find a better deal on release or shortly after you can use Game's free returns service on this one.
