it doesnt come separate.

didn't realise it came as a bundle only
#9
I doubt if they would be £99 lol, how much are psp's to buy these days?

A PSP, GPS receiver, UMD (including maps), Car Adaptor and Car Mount will cost €299 (around £220)

you are paying for the GPS receiver... search for Go! Explore on youtube

I think your missing the point he's making. He's arguing that he doesnt think the GPS reciever and software will be sold for £99 anywhere (presumably becuase a PSP costs not much more on its own).

Have to say I agree to some degree, you can buy dedicated Sat Nav systems for as little as £60ish these days, cant see anyone really wanting to pay £100 for it to work on their PSP.

Having said that £30 is a damn good price really (heat and rep added :) pity there isnt the car mount version going cheap, no way the car mount in my car will take a PSP, it wont even fit an iPhone :(
#11
Its a good deal if they sell for £29.99, but as bootlegger says i cant justify the £99 price when sat navs are getting cheaper by the day.
#12
From order confirmation:
Note: The price quoted for a preorder title is the anticipated retail selling price at the time of release. Should the price be reduced you will be charged the lower price at the time of your order being dispatched. Should the price increase - you will not pay any more! Money is taken just prior to release.

Havent got a sat nav yet so will give this a try....H+R!
#13
A Sat Nav with a touch screen is a better buy.
#14
If it comes with the hardware is a bargain. I dont really want to faf around though in case it doesnt.
#15
What the hell is the bloody fuss about. What is the point in using a PSP for a satnav when its not even touch screen and no real way to hang it in your car properly. Gonna be fiddly. Why pay extortionate amounts for a inferior satnav system when you can buy a dedicated superior TOMOM for about 100 notes. A gimmick is all it is, even if it does work.

look at what it can do on youtube - it is not inferior.
#17
You'd be better off spending £20 on bluetooth gps imho and using tomtom on your symbian nokia or pda etc
#18
OOO this looks good, it prob will come with the GPS unit, if its the same HMV package assuming a pricing mistake? But i DOUBT they will honour it????
#19
See i told you posting deals was a good idea :D
#20
It uses the iGo 08 software which is pretty good :)

So good deal if you already have a PSP as a large screen is useful, though I can only imagine a touch screen one would be easier to use :)

Wow great price, and a pedestrian GPS too.Voted hot
#22
amazing price great find
#23
ive ordered the hmv one as well, so i may end up with two :D thanks for posting :)

some people man... bet TeddyT doesnt even have a PSP..

Actually I do but I use it for games, what it was built for and I have a TomTom for a satnav. I dont get exciting about stupid gimmicks like this. But its not my money so all I'm saying its a pointless overpriced gadget to have.

i've got a tom tom v2, so is this worth getting? pretty cheap & tempting
#26
great price, ordered this with HMV when they mispriced, dunno if they will honour it - gonna get this as well just incase. Oh and those people saying 'whats the point?' do a youtube search for this thing, kicks the ass off any other gps system - you even get 3D landmarks - remember the psp is a graphics centered device whereas other GPS systems are not.

a mount costs a couple of quid you buffoon... the deal is about a £29.99 gps system that is far superior to a £100 tomtom.

If the actual price is £100+ I don't see the point as in the end it will cost £230+ when buying a PSP too. Yes I appreciate the software is up to date etc I just think it's too expensive for what it is. £30 makes much more sense to me as it's just a GPS receiver and software with the rest of the hardware and cost being in the PSP. For those of us with a PSP already £30 is a good deal.
#29
I wouldnt recommend buying a PSP just for this but as GeoThermal rightly said £30 is a steal for anyone who already owns the device.

Just to warn you, game have a habit of changing pre-orders. Alot of people pre-ordered Timecrisis 4 at £29.99, but then a new pre-order was created called Timcrisis 4 with G-Con, and all previouse pre-orders were cancelled.
#31
Ordered one from hmv when it was £27.99, and ordered one from Game just in case. Seems a good price to me if you have a PSP.
#32
just ordered thanks. rep added.

Where can you get a nice looking psp mount for the car. like this one... or similar

wheres their misprice guarantee? if this does turn out to be 99 quid and it comes off for 29, absolute steal

this looks like a better stand than the one posted earlier as it has spaces at the top where the gps sticks out

Ive had loads pre-orders including Time Crisis 4 and they never upped the price for me they emailed me about price changed but pointed out that my cheaper price was one of the benefits of pre-ordering with Game and gave me it my cheaper pre-order price :)

Ive had Shopto up the price on pre-orders though but never any problems at Game.

My PSP laser died 20 minutes ago, it's a US model which I bought out there a couple of weeks before the UK release.

It has probably seen less than 100 hours use over the years so i'm not very happy. That's one less UMD buyer for them.

Couldn't you just softmod the psp to latest firmware buy this for £30 and rip the umd so that you can still use it off a memory stick? just an idea if you did want to buy it.

How am I meant to rip the UMD with a broken laser? :p
Mine has been modded since day one, even though I was in a completely different country I managed to find out exactly what to do and flew back here playing snes games lol. I still buy the odd game so it's irritating I can't play any of them now.

I'm just getting incredibly angry as everything I own seems to be breaking without reason this year.
That's the PSP, PS2, 360 and my rather expensive Denon 2900 DVD player so far.

I can pull my Snes, Megadrive, Saturn or Sharp Mini-Disc player etc. out of the cupboard though and they'll all work fine!
