great deal!

1920x1080 is an awfully high res for 23".. hmm not sure. gotta do the math on that one.
edit: yeah its 16:9 (like a TV), not 16:10 like most monitors.. wider. whether this is good or bad depends what you do. for movies and games it should be good.

Yes ... you can see them on the pictures.

but no HDMI like its bigger 24" brother...

Is this the right connector for using the monitor as a TV with a V+ box (HDMI output)?

Well, knowing the inner diagonal dimensions of 23" & the inner width of say 20" (i.e. minus 1.83" for the panel surround on 2 sides), we can determine the inner height as 11.5" using Pythagoras' theorem.

So the inner panel dimensions will be around 20" x 11.5", give or take 0.5".

No, but it is no "stuck" pixel policy. They're the coloured, not black ones. Hot deal

i think dell have some sort of vetting system on orders placed by ceratin customers.

i placed the order about two hours ago and i havent any sort of email acknowledgement

(deja-vu as this happend to me two weeks ago as well when i missed out on a the dell mini 9 for £97 even though i ordered it much earlier than most who got theres, i placed an order for the mini 9 at 10.30am some people orderd at 11.55am and got theres, yet i didnt)

anyway the same thing has happened this evening iv orderd on my dell email account and iv had no acknowledegement, so iv just asked my dad to set up a new dell email account and then place the order for me (dad lives in same st just further down).

he did this and he recieved a confirmation email acknowledgement within erm 30 seconds of placing the order.

im really beginning to think dell are running some sort of two tier order filtering system where they honour certain orders and have some customers on an 'order blacklist' or checklist where there orders are scrutenized and checked over by staff the following morning/day and subsequently rejected if theres a too good an offer being orderd.

to all those ordering this evening if you do not get an order confirmation, set up a new email account and re-order

It seems to me that you get the 20% plus 10% off this particular monitor without having to enter the code. Explains why some couldn't apply it to other monitors. Try adding promo and then removing it, you still get the 20% and that says it is valid until 29th Dec.
#37
if one was to set this up with a hd cable reciever or ps3 then would there be no sound? and so would you need a set of speakers too?

Thanks,

I had spotted them on ebay at less than £5, but of course the link wasn't allowed.

I've ordered - need to make sure I get the adapter before Xmas as well, it's a pressie for the wife. ;-)
