£65.

Talk about take the ****. Playing on the last games continued popularity.

I pity the fool that spends that sort of money on a game with a few extra books and a tin case.
#3

#4

The CoD4 collectors edition (art book, poster & SAS dvd) came down to £35 within a few months of release, £65 for a bit of tin on top of that is ridiculous.

That's not a rumour any more, it has been confirmed, however that is the RRP so it will probably retail about £45. I don't think we will see anything like the Adsa promotion on COD5 this time round though.

Jesus if the hardened edition is £65 whats the one with the night vision gonna be

EDIT £120 exclusive to hmv

the reason the price is so high is becuase of this:

It could potentially happen to every game

ahh right I see so years ago when the dollar and euro rate was strong we had cheaper games and now the rate is bad we have to pay more. Well atleast that means when the rate improves game prices will come down again. Ohh wait....

Makes the Black Edition of Assassin's Creed II @ £69.99 look like a bargain (in my eyes)

I would hold off on preordering this yet. Theres no way Activision will be able to keep this up, not with the pressure from retailers and consumers, and of course other game publishers. EA have already said they will be keeping prices the same.

Infact, the whole weak pound thing is a stupid argument, as Activision UK will be selling the game here. It's not like they're going to be paying more to import it. It'll be pressed and produced in the UK/EU.

Just another example of activision screwing over their customers.

Boycott Boycott Boycott !!!!

Its obvious that Activision is taking advantage and gauging the COD fan base, its pure greed that is all, not content with making a good profit (15 million+ units sold last COD game) they want to gamble and make a killing.

Well sorry Activision, I dont buy your lies about exchange rates and dev costs. Goto hell. If anything the pound is now stronger than this time last year. Based on the last COD MW sales, I expect them to take in £376m before their puny £30m development costs !

The only time I'll pay more then £30 for a new game is if I have to import it (Imported Demon's Souls for £35), I could not justify paying that amount of money. Ever for a game.

I'll boycott all new releases if I have to, and I'm sure other people will too.
