I've now got a proper cat deterrent....
A Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Any cat that is stupid enough to come in my garden now can kiss its sorry ass goodbye.

mostly positive reviews on amazon, seems some cats are immune but it works in most cases.

Well not in my case either!!! I got one because cats use to sit on my motorbike and scratch the seat. Came out one morning and found a cat asleep on it. It make a noise which is more annoying to humans than cats.

I had exactly the same thing at my last address, where i never had a garage. A cat jumped on the seat of my bike and punctured the vinyl with its claws.
Cats are a bloody menace.

I bought one to try and keep cats away from a kids play area. Completely useless. After I had unpacked it I left it out on the kitchen floor, our cat went up to it, sniffed it then walked away with a look of only mild disdain. Outside it didn't keep other cats away at all. In the end I bought a Scarecrow type cat repellent, works very well but is a pain to use and you have to turn it off before the kids can go out, quite fun to forget to tell the wife that it's armed though ;-)

I’d much prefer a cat to a biker crapping in my garden ;-)

I may try that with the cat owners round here and curl one out on their lawn..... see how they like picking that up when i've had 8 pints of Guinness and a chicken tikka.

B&Q sell these too, but theirs has different packaging and cost £30.

I've got 2. One out back and one in the front garden. Never had any cat crap in the garden since I've been using these and we have a serious amount of cats round our estate. I don't know if it makes much difference but I use a mains transformer (about £5 from B&Q) for our ones instead of the 9v batteries.

This seems to work a treat in my garden.
Had a serious cat poo problem with at least one pile of cat crap on my lawn everyday.
I couldnt let the kids on the grass at all. Since getting one of these 18mnths ago the problem had competely gone.
BRILLIANT

I've had problems with two cats leaving their s*** on a very small patch of soil in my garden!! Have tried absolutely everything THEN somebody recommended clear 'plastic' bottles filled with water upright in the soil....................my god it worked!!

Bought one of these earlier in the year after all kinds of suggestions that never worked or only partially worked. I've got to say after I had positioned it correctly it worked a treat and i have never had any [email protected] in my garden since.

I never really minded cats but after clearing up bags of s@*te on a daily basis I have grown into a thorough dislike for the mangey gits!!

I agree !!

I tried ALL the old wives tales of pepper, orange peel, empty bottles of water etc etc and nothing worked so i had the back garden paved, perfect!!

Had gravel put down at the front and every day there was cat crap, got this in the summer and aside from one lot i've had none since,it certainly works for me:thumbsup:
