INSTORE AT BROUGHTON AND NESTON NOT FOUND IT ON WEB SITE YET
Hope someone finds this helpful just before crimbo. Might be a store thing only

me and my mother in law have tried it and it's the worst chapagne we have tasted.
#3
you and your mother in law are obviosuly connisuers of fine wine. you wont get better for the price.

Always annoys me - says vintage, doesn't say what year. Whole point of vintage is that one year can be good and another poor .... even the website doesn't say.

Chacun à son goût' - don't know about this one, but they've had good reviews before (2001, 2004 vintages) ...... However, this is 100% chardonnay, no pinot of any kind, so it's a vintage blanc de blancs. If you don't like blanc de blancs, you won't like this.

OK - all bets are off.
As per my previous post, the hiighly rated ones were all Chardonnay, so this is a different wine and probably from a different source. maybe good, maybe bad. Will have more citrus due to the Pinot.
If it says will only store for 5 years, then it doesn't sound like a good vintage. However, chacun à son goût - if you like it, it's a bargain price.

Whether pinot of not, will it make me look posh drinking this in the park with my mates? They only drink turps and white spirit.

What vintage white spirit would that be? The '04 was truly awful ... X)

A Which? blind taste test described it as "rotten" and "cabbagey" scoring zero for the first time ever.

Well, that killed the deal! Just out of interest what was the date of the Which report and what vintage (year) was it testing?

Used to support Which?, but disagree with their judgemet on value at times
