My 4 year old Son has one of these and his 9 year old Sister fights to have a go offering her Nintendo DS in exchange.

Its a very good little learning toy even at full price. Plenty of software on Amazon.

Only downside is that its battery operated so worth buying some rechargables to keep it juiced on the cheap. Battery life is pretty long.
Bought this for the said price, also bought software to go with it (currently buy-one-get-one-free) and then got a Leapfrog Phonics Pond (worth £19.99) free on account of total spend on Leapfrog products being > £25. The store manager tried arguing that I couldn't combine 2 deals and I insisted that it didn't say so anywhere, so in the end I got the system, 2 software cartridges and a Phonics pond, all for under £45.
My kids had this last year, three times we had to have a replacement and then finally our money back as they kept breaking.

I would not recommend these.
