Never forget that the 'j' in Fujitsu is pronounced as 'sh' - at least it should be.

Not worth putting any data you care about on a Fujitsu drive, ever, in my experience.

I have Fujitsu drives that have been trouble free for many years! No matter what make of drive someone somewhere will have had a problem with one, if you search the net you will not find a drive maker who has not had failures or some unhappy customers.

You must be the lucky one then! See previous threads for this device for reports about high failure rates etc.

The thing that made me forswear ever using a Fujitsu drive again was a few years back when they made a lot of drives that had faulty capacitors that led to early drive failure - these things happen to everyone (as you note above) - but the kicker was that Fujitsu refused to replace the drives that were known to be dodgy unless and until they had failed. A company that cares so little for its customers and their data to save themselves a few pounds doesn't any more pounds from self-respecting customers.

Better to stick to a major drive manufacturer - WD, Samsung, Seagate, HGST etc. - the safety of your data is not worth the few pounds saved by buying from a second rate manufacturer such as Fujitsu.
