I posted (and ordered) a Gelert Hydration pack from Amazon the other day that went hot.
Unfortunately they cancelled the order this week.

All the usual bike shops have basic models for £20 or so with less storage than this.
Just bought one of these for £10.70 instore in Bournemouth Tesco, they are online too but with a rip off postage charge of £4.70.

It looks much better in the fabric as it were than the photo.

This hydration rucksack has a capacity of 6L, iincluding a compartment that will allow you to carry a 1.5L water bottle. The rucksack has been designed to fit snugly around your body so that you do not have to stop if you wish to have a drink. It is ideal for walking, biking and skiing. It is lightweight and durable and has reflective trims for added safety in poor light.

amazing price, will look for one tonight but...

Features of Product Drink without stopping.

do you stop when you drink from a water bottle? Hardly a design feature lol!

I brought one myself this weekend and was used on a bike ride. I can't really fault it for the price. It did the job well, it's light and comfortable. My local Tescos had replacement bladders for a few quid too so I may pick one up as a spare. Like the OP says this would usually cost you twice as much for other makes without as much space.

What's the build quality of these like?

The proper Camelbak ones aren't cheap, granted - but never seen one of the same quality for less...

I paid £1.99 for this exact item in the discontinued area in Coventry. Even used it at Cannock Chase on Sun to great effect.

Quality looks decent. Certainly atleast as good as my old Nike one which lasted 5 years and sold on ebay for more then the cost here :-)

Yeah it was the Arena one. No idea if they had any left. It was the clear out section in the middle of the aisle.
As for build quality it is pretty dam good. Certainly going to last the year out.

I do apologise, I've been to the Coventry Arena store tonight and bought all of them. There were 4 left on the shelf. I noticed they also sell 2.0L replacement bags for £9.

All being used for Cannock Chase mountain bike trips, none are going on ebay!

By the way these are in Tesco again... £7.50.

I got the green one. Can't fit my hand inside but Camelback sell a device to hold the bag open to dry. I plan on making one. The tubing is easy to dry out, leave it in the drainer with each end of the tube stuck through the rung, drains out and dries.

Mouthpiece (bite valve) is a bit crap. Slit the slit open bigger, haven't tried it yet though. Can't get more than a mouthful with the valve on, but remove it and flow is good, but have to close the tap. Not as hands free. Might buy a better one on Ebay.

Does no one have problems with air in the tube? Before I slit the slit open bigger I had to suck very hard and didn't get much....

Oh well, cheap experiment!

Matt
