Seems a decent deal. Heat applied.

Would be interested to know what make drive is inside and how quiet it runs if anyone can shed more light. Ta!

I've got the USB 3.0 version of this (but plugged into a 2.0 port) and I have to say it is really quiet IMO. It is certainly much less noticeable than my FreeAgent external.

I've been really pleased with it, but bear in mind that I haven't had it more than a month and I can't comment on its reliability over the course of an extended time period.

Got the 750gb of this and don't even know it's on.

Can you use this with PS3 to watch not so legal films?

It is Maplin, remember! £46.99 plus delivery costs?

Pretentious marketing blurb includes: "The first rule of the CORE is, you do not talk about the CORE.

I am deeply suspicious of manufacturers who goes to any effort to suppress reviews about the lack of reliability of their product, aren't you?

Bought this LAST week... item looked used, and didnt work...so back it went, where the staff went to GREAT lengths to explain how I didnt know what I was doing ! (Im an IT lecturer... )

It took a bit of raised voice before they realised that I wasnt going to budge - buy at your peril.
Out of the half dozen items ive bought from craplins over the last year - 5 have gone back :-(

Nothing more than a pound shop these days IMHO

Blimey, since when have Top Gear reviewed hard drives! This is the most pretentious marketing twaddle I've ever read - just to confirm this is a hard drive we're talking about huh? ;o)
