£1.89 one of the best beauty creams and sold at ALDI!

A top beauty cream for £1.89?
Some people (and I sometimes wish I could be one of them!) will splurge an absolute fortune on pots of moisturiser to keep their skin wrinkle free. But reports in the papers today have revealed the latest innovation to hit the beauty market costs just £1.89 from Aldi.

Enter Siana Moisturising Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream, to give the product its full title. Its beaten Olay, Elemis and Helena Rubenstein to earn a reputation as one of the best anti-ageing products on the market.

Two thousand volunteers blind-tested the cream and voted it one of the best complexion smoothers, with some adding it looked like theyd had a facial and others thinking it must be expensive. Meanwhile, Womans Own has said of the cream: Beauty tongues are wagging because its so cheap and it really works.
Since word has spread, Aldi has gone from selling 290 jars a week at the beginning of the year to 20,000, with branches selling out across the UK.

The Aldi cream contains enzyme Q10, which is often found in more expensive beauty creams and which its claimed mimics the bodys ability to protect against premature ageing.

Great deal at a great price, gonna get the missus some as she needs sprucing up lol

Sorry folks - but stuff like this annoys me.

Lets be honest, you can go out and get a new haircut that seems massively different to you, and is obviously a sudden change, and your partner wont even notice.

So why spend money on something when the only person likely to see a difference is you?

You are just trying to swap money for more confidence in yourself by thinking that you look better (although no one else is really likely to notice - so you are just paying to fool yourself).

For roughly the same amount - you can treat an child in a developing country and cure them of river blindness (Onchocerciasis).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onchocerciasis

So for paying the same amount - you can be sure one person will see you as a far more attractive person - and get a chance to keep seeing the rest of the world too.

Do you think you sound better telling someone that you used a cream that you feel makes you look better, or that you stopped someone from going blind?

Which of these actions would they be most likely to copy?

OK - This week's rant completed.

I bet I take a slagging for this!

Excellemt deal.

I am a little confused with the life they claim on these things - as I have been buying them since 1993 for three houses I rent out - and they have never managed near the 8000 hours they claim.

I am about to start trying LED ones which use 40-50% the power of the low energy ones - but cost about thirty quid a time - but claim a 100 000 hour life.

Looks like you can afford to donate more than the rest of us!

Yea well; nothing undeserved for pompous prats who assume that people who try and look after themselves must ignore every other being on the planet.

I agree with Ibiza tbh :) my GF looks great and she doesnt use hardly any 'beauty' products.
HOWEVER!
Imho thi is not the place to discuss whether the product is good, its to discuss if its a good deal!
And well, I have to say it is!

Didn't have any in Aberaman Aldi yesterday . My mum was telling me about it, she picked some up in Portsmouth.

OK i take it all back - tricking 60 year old women to think they look 50 - is obviously far more important than stopping a kid going blind.

How could I ever have got it so wrong. :whistling:

Get a grip man!

99% of the bargains posted here are items we could all survive without.

So why come here looking for a bargain, when you could just give all your money to charity.

I'm sure most members of this forum contribute to charaties, and now that they can save money they can afford to contribute a few more pence.

We're talking about an item that costs £1.89 for crying out loud.
Think about that the next time you buy a can of deorourant (if you use it).

Money is money at the end of the day and I love these sites for the sole purpose that I can give to charity, My personal oppinion is that I only give to animal charities as they do not get any government funding for the care and protection of animals cruelly abused and treated by a select few humans, so in getting an item like this for next to nothing and also giving a smile on the face of the person who receives just a gift allows me to give a little bit more to dogs trust, manchester dogs home, and RSPCA, and Oldham cats.

Cleanliness is next to godliness is what they say.

This is my opinion only and one I stick by while my missus gives to the NSPCC

I would say the majority of items here are options required to live normally.

But when something is basically snake oil to buy a fake confidence that you look younger - then there are far better uses.

The next time you are out - look at the women who started wearing make up when they were younger and tried to compensate for what they see as the detriment of ageing. There are some that have it caked on so much that they are some unnatural colour with panda eyes, and its all based on the vanity over time that a little more will help a little more - until you are left with something looking like its a different species.

Take a look next time you are out. :w00t:

Couldn't agree more.

With a username like "Ibiza", I trust you are a regular traveller. What about your carbon trail? And as you said earlier in another thread, you have three houses rented out. I hope you contribute a large amount of your profits to help others who can't afford one house.

I have never seen such rubbish posted on this site before.:x

IBIZA Please get a grip. I have been using hotdeals for a long time, but never bothered to register. Your comments convinced me to do so in order to reply. I have a son with severe Autism and do a costly form of therapy with him, so I need to save every penny I can get to spend it on him. I won't be buying the cream, but only because I don't have time to go to Aldi to buy it. You see stress ages you, so the cream would come in handy. Anyway at least your comments have given everyone a giggle. Lighten up life is too short!!!
