Just got an email from the flight center

"We have 100 flights to Miami for just £1 plus tax and airline fees. That's a total price of £249, which is a saving of £185 against the cheapest year round fare.
Sale starts 30th March at 10am. We’re expecting demand again to be massive especially as we also have excellent rates on accommodation in Miami and additional extras on offer such as; car hire and excursions, to make the most of your time in the Sunshine State.
You will need to be flexible with your dates and you must pay in full at the time of booking. The Flash Sale will end Thursday 31st March at 8pm or until all of the flights are sold, so call early to avoid disappointment. Our Flash Sale on flights to Thailand sold out in a record time of 100 mins. That’s a seat a minute! "

Tax I understand, what are "airline fees" - the bit you pay to the airline? That's usually called the "price".

Cold, because of overuse of marketing speak (aka nonsense!!!).

All the airlines tried to to this to give a lower headline price. thankfully, it's now been outlawed and the inclusive price must be displayed 9unless you're Ryanair, of course).

so not a £1
£248 is not a bad price, but prefer not use companies that use cheap tricks

This is actually not bad deal. Just rang up to find out details, it's travelling in May on various dates, but weekdays only. Minimum 7 nights stay. Travelling with Delta, but indirect via NY or Atlanta. So I was told.

Unfortunately we cant take advantage of this deal, but hope it helps someone else.

booked 18th May for two weeks. Very good price. Why does it matter that the tax is so much more than the ctual airfare? We all know we get stung by the Government for taxes. It's the end price that matters and at 249 this is a great price. Thanks OP
