Good deal

I do these sorts of cheap trials all the time.

Just cancel DD after trial ends if you don't want to continue - no committment to full subscription.

Good magazine BTW

just make sure you cancel before you get your third issue (unless you want to continue subscribing, of course).
Taken from website;
"I understand that after my 3 issues for £1, my subscription will automatically continue at the low rate of just £15.99 every 6 issues – a 33% saving on the shop price!

I can cancel my subscription at any time within the 3 issues for £1 introductory period and no more than the original £1 will be debited from my account. The first 3 issues, plus free toolkit, will be mine to keep whatever I decide. "

Iv always been tempted for these magazine deals but dont want to get stung. Is there anything to stop you signing up, watching the £1 DD come out of my bank and then immediately cancelling the DD through my bank online without informing customPC or waiting a set amount of time, and still receive all 3 issues and the toolkit and they wont send me more issues and try and charge me?

i dont think any company can can prevent you from canceling direct debits, not even the bank...
i usually maek note on the calendar as to when i need to cancel the DD

I would sign up and keep it going.

Excellent magazine been reading since early 2007, and its the only magazine I now read, and I also subscribe to it.

If you have any desire to custom build your PC, or upgrade some parts, giving this a read over first would make sure you get best value for your money.

Thanks il give it a go

Did this offer about this time last year... got the tool set before the first issue, cancelled after three issues with no problems and sold the magazines on eBay for £4!! Worth doing in my opinion!!
#9
let me get this correct after I received the 3rd issue just cancel the direct debit thats it?
#10
I usually cancel the D/D as soon as the £1 is taken out. I still get sent all the remaining issues.
#11
Be aware that the toolset is like something from Poundland, but still worth having I guess. No brainer offer; cancel the DD after the £1 has been taken and you'll have no problems.
#12
Cheers signed up and i'll cancel the DD after the £1 has been taken out.
#13
excellant.....would set up dd now and then cancel when it goes out....rep

I would disagree with this, the screwdrivers are decent, I would say its worth around £4 to £5 quid

Ordered, cheers!

I just read a bit every time I go to Tescos for the weekly shop, usually read by the 3rd week:thumbsup:.

i think its safer to cancel BEFORE you receive the 3rd issue. the TnCs clearly said "you can cancel within the 3 issues". You will get the 3 issues after paying 1£ cos thats the agreement no matter what you decide after the receiiving the third issue

No matter what I try I just get this upon signup

"Please enter a valid mobile number "

44

ect ect,

EDIT: Dont matter now.

Heat/Rep given!

Bought this magazine the month before last, a very good read imo. :-D

Will take out the 3 issue trial and accept the free toolkit while I'm at it, hehe. :whistling:

Thanks.

I too got this a couple of months ago. Ace deal. The toolkit's pretty comprehensive and as good a quality as anything you'll pay a tenner for out of Maplin, and the magazine's fairly entertaing, although you're warned not to take its advice too seriously, since the entire thing's pretty much just a shill for the 'gaming' hardware industry.

ordered thanks :)
Just a quickie though, how do you actually cancel the subscription after the second issue, so as not to get billed for any more issues?

send an email to the costumer service and then cancel the direct debit (internet banking allows you do this directly)

Would you have to get in contact with them or could you just cancel the direct debit with your bank account online and they would see this and not send you any issues after the 3rd?

i'd contact them as precaution i.e so that they cannot refuse the cancelation by saying i did not contact them before canceling

is this the toolkit you received free with the magazine?
#33
Dont worry ive just clicked the link and it shows that it is the same toolkit! Which is a bit dissapointing for a modder, was hoping for an anti-static wristband etc.
#34
Has anyone had an email or been charged the £1 yet?
