I don't mind if my deals are voted cold - but I generally post things I am interested in buying and believe I have found the best offer for, so if a better offer is available then it would be nice to know about it.

Its not a bad price for what it is but its only 1 inch thick, is that really good enough for a topper?

I'm sure I read somewhere that it has to be at least 7cms to be any use but I might be talking crap too

Memory foam - or how to sleep in a 10 year old foam mattress, today!

In all seriousness, I have just replaced my memory foam mattress as I found it to be particularly uncomfortable. Having a small crater form around you makes it particularly annoying when you toss and turn as it takes a while to adapt.

Not sure how mattress toppers compare though...

Spot on....1" is pointless and will make no difference, unless you already have a memory foam mattress and want an extra 1" on top of what you already have....sorry but cold for me...

Interesting. I had wondered about the pros and cons of these!!

Need to sort something asap my old futon is killing me,, !

Never having slept on one.. does the memory effect discourage movement at all? I imagined they would feel a bit like pulling a bike wheel out of a track.. or being sunk in mud.. a fraction more effort to turn, as by it's nature, there's a little resistance to overcome??

I've also read the materials used are slightly carcinogenic.. OK if your mattress/topper is all nicely sealed up in an zipper cover I guess. I wouldn't want to wrap one around my head and breathe in and out deeply for hours and hours... :x

Do doctors recommend them??

Off to do some googling... :whistling:
