try new email address? might work

How do these boxes work. Got sky HD in lounge but thinking they might be ok for bedroom. Do they just stream the programmes so Internet will need to be top notch??

It won't come with the box but you can use if you have a smart tv or phone, laptop ect
#12
So could I use one of these on the box I've just got in the Argos deal, then register the 4 months pass after this pass expires?

Yes :)

How do you use this if you're already signed up to NowTv; I cant get it to activate this way...? Has anyone else managed to do it but not by being a 'new customer'?
#15
Hmmm... Quidco just tracked this at £1.50. We'll have to wait and see if that materialises.

You are right, this is a streaming device and works over the internet. The connection does not have to be particularly fast to achieve a good result, we use it at our country house in rural Norfolk where BT cannot be bothered to provide a fast connection (1.5 MB/s) and it works perfectly well.
Regarding the deal: unfortunately this is nothing new, Now TV has given a free month long pass to new customers for as long as I can remember, so it will have to be a cold vote (for the deal, not for Now TV, which is a good service for a reasonable price).

Hey I currently have Netflix and I have been told NowTV is more for your money? Does anyone agree with that? I'm thinking about moving to it
#18
How old/new are the films in this deal please?

I'd give this trial a go.... You'll probably find you get bored of films after 1-2 months.... They don't update enough
If it's the entertainment part or Sky Atlantic then you might like it
I like Netflix as it's a mix of both. I know the films aren't great either

Download the Now TV app on android .... You don't need to log in
Basically it's the exact same films as Sky movies have at the moment... Mix of old and new but you'll soon get bored of the selection

Now TV is great if you don't have a Sky package, with the entertainment package you get live channels such as Sky Atlantic, and loads of box sets.

I have Now TV and Netflix and both are pretty good and compliment one another.

Doesn't come with the box. If you want the box the best bet is one of the £19.95 deals on hot uk deals at the moment, on offer is £19.95 for the box and 6 months entertainment pass the other is £19.95 for box and 4 months movies.
As someone else mentions you can just get the app on a tablet/smartphone/laptop and watch on their or connect to your big TV.

New customers only so best thing to do is re-register against a different email address.

Good question, as nothing mentioned on the site.

Could be from the email with the offer the OP received.

Can the new customers get this as well as the 14 day free trial ?.

A 'Cold vote' for.....well, for what exactly? It's either a good deal or it isn't? If it's an existing deal and if it isn't already mentioned on HDUK then what's the problem? If it's a duplicate then say so....but voting 'Cold' is nonsensical.

Hi, you'll be able to stream but the quality of the stream may be affected if you do not achieve a certain speed. NowTV stream 'live' movies in SD, so that shouldn't be a problem with a slow connection but if you are wanting to stream the 'on demand' movies in 720p they advised me I'd need a minimum of 3.2mbps, which was slightly over the speed I was actually achieving. Still, SD streamed OK if quality isn't a massive issue for you.

No, this is for new customers only & begins immediately on joining.

You could take it up as a new customer in the future, but by the time you've finished with your present subs, this deal will not be available any more (unless they do it again).

I do exactly the same now. Cancelled my sky TV, we use now tv and Netflix and it's cheaper

If you've been a now tv customer in the past it may be worth checking your email - just been offered 2 months movies for £4.99.
