Sample the delights of a Thomson cruise with a magical evening on board Thomson Spirit or Thomson Celebration. Enjoy a five-course meal, the music and movement of a West End-style show and then head for the disco, casino or one of the many bars.

I saw this a few days ago and just one question:
If you drive to Harwich and park the car, how do you get back from Southampton to Harwich? I am sure the train fair would cost more that the all inclusive cruise!

Fantastic deal for overnight accomodation, 5 course dinner, show and breakfast. However we live near Southampton so how would we get to Harwich cheaply? OK going the other way as the website says "A RETURN COACH TRANSPORT AND PARKING OPTION IS AVAILABLE TO BOOK RING LEGER HOLIDAYS ON 0845 408 1353."

My thoughts exactly mikewot.

If it wasn't for me going to see Saints that day, I might have even booked up. Been on the Thomson Destiny, wouldn't mind a looksie around the Spirit.

If its a one date only taster cruise , a one off , how can there be 40% off the regular price ? its not a regular thing :?
coupled with the return travel problem it looks like someone didnt really think this through
#14
isn't this what everyone calls a booze cruise?

thats when you actaully get to another country to buy booze , this is just a floating restaurant that leaves you in the middle of nowhere, pointless :whistling:

Is it one of those parties where your mates say "What happens on the boat stays on the boat." If you know what I mean?
#17
A great deal completely ruined by the fact that you don't get taken back to where you started from and have the hassle of public transport to sort out.
#18
Thinking about this. Thomson do not even sail from Southampton, so where is the boat going afterwards?!
#19
it doesn't sound like much of a holiday, Essex to Southampton....

Would be cheaper to get a flight to Marbella or something.

Refit maybe?
#21
scrap yard maybe ;)
#22
It's a repositional, as the ship is likely to sail down to the Canaries or Sharm afterwards.

I went on one of these a few years ago and If I remember rightly it was good food and way too much alcohol.
