The Hoxton (London) are having another £1 room sale.

The sale hasn't begun yet, and they don't say when it will so this is just a heads up.

I managed to take advantage of the offer last time and it is a great hotel

On 4th October at 12:00 noon we will release 595 rooms at £1 and 595 rooms at £29, available only on our website for dates between the 5th October 07 31st January 2008.

Nice rooms, clean, helpful staff, also had a 3 course meal with drinks which worked out at £40 per head but you don't mind spending that when the room is free !

You will have notice before they go on sale, I will warn you now it is a bit of a mad rush though. I think it is only 1 room for night.

Thanks!

Its ok i am used to mad rushes as an avid music concert goer. It was much better about 5 years ago when you could turn up at the door and get into festivals, now all the touts and kids buy them online within 3 seconds!

ooo i got one of these and used it in July £29 and the hotel is really nice ! lovely bed and great shower !

We did the £7 meal before 7 aswell, i had a lvely bit of steak. .. ( then a bittle of wine for like £13 ) but oh well still all in all a great deal.

Will be there once again for this one !

Voting hot for a heads up on a deal that hasn't even got confirmed dates yet?
#7
cant even use this site keeps on saying incomplete:|
#8
Sounds like a good offer to me... and one which they mention on the home page of their website.

They also say that those on their mailing list will be the first to hear about the deal, so will just have to wait and see what turns up!
#9
as a bonus the Hoxton Grill is rapidly becoming one of London's hottest new hang out joints, beware there are plenty of wannabes mind.

Combine this with the £1-£9 each way virgin train tickets from Manchester to Euston. Bargain.
#11
Voted HOT HOT HOT. So hard to find an affordable hotel in London when you want to go and watch a show - thanx
#12
Does anyone know roughly what dates this offer will be for, not that im fussy its just my birthday in November so I would like to try for that weekend;)
#13
Can you only get if for 1 night or 2 nights for £2?

Can you only get if for 1 night or 2 nights for £2?

It was only 1 night before, but you could always book the second night seperately at the nomal price or get a friend to try and get the 2nd night?

Their web site is very weird. After I fill in my details to join the mailing list and press submit it says "Adding..." and never comes back. Don't know if I joined or not.

So I looked at their page source out of interest:

meta name="keywords" content="Mailing List, Newsletter, Hoxton Hotel, London Hotel, London, London Discount London hotel rooms, Budget, Shoreditch, Clubs and bars, Great eastern street, Liverpool street station, Old street, City airport, Stansted, Stansted Airport, Stansted Express, Free Wifi hotspot, Best discounted rates today, Best available rate, Cheapest rate, Cheap rooms, Close to old street, City of London, Barbican, Sadlers wells, London arena, Canary wharf, Tower of London, All tube stations, All rail stations, Eurostar, Waterloo, Express by Holiday Inn, St Gregorys, Apex, Bars in the local area, Day lets, Day ****, Booking from 1st July, Bank of England, Clerkenwell, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Invesco, Bank of Nova Scotia, Moorgate, Finsbury Square, Broadgate, Farringdon, Clerkenwell, St John Street, Fabric, Smiths, Smithfields

HUK seems to asterisk it out but let's say it's a four-letter word implying you will be accompanying a friendly partner :?

Don't get your hopes up folks - there are always vast numbers of people trying to get in on this one whenever it comes on, and for every person who gets a cheap room there are hundreds who don't!

Don't get me wrong - it's a great deal for the lucky ones, but your chances are actually very low because of the numbers trying.

Good luck!

I remember reading on the site that they would be doing this deal again in early Autumn, but as yet the hotel has not confirmed any particular date.
#18
I stayed there last friday and was lucky to get £1 room..well worth trying for a room when they are on sale if you can be patient to try..
Looking forward to trying again

:? How can you spend 5 mins searching a site yet not read the page you entered the site from (assuming you looked by clicking in the OP)?

The page in the OP says:

Welcome to The Hoxton Hotel
London's innovative new business hotel
The Hoxton hotel, where urban living meets country lodge lounging, opened in London on Friday 1st September 2006. With roaring fires and cool cocktails, Frette linen and flat screen TVs, sumptuous duck down duvets and free WiFi and amazing bar & restaurant the "Hoxton Grille". Even more amazing are the cheap rates.

Close to Old Street tube and the City of London, The Hoxton provides easy access to Moorgate, Finsbury Square and Liverpool Street and is staggering distance from some of London's best bars, restaurants and clubs. The Hoxton is a no smoking hotel.

I can definitely recommend The Hoxton.
In fact I am currently sat on the bed of my £1 room sending this message on my Nokia 770 using the free wi-fi.
#24
This is a great promotion, and generates the kind of interest the hotel wants and all that free publicity and the bonus to them all those additional bookings that other wise may have left empty rooms. If you have dates in mind and I do like the rest of you give it a go, alternatively also look at Travelodge they too have some good room rates at £26 per night in London.

I am missing something??

Just looked on their site (to see to how book incase I need to be quick typing for a sale bargin!)

You can book rooms right now for £30 a night and book more than 1 night.

I know £30 isn't £1 but considering your chances and the fact you can only get 1 night at that price.
Wouldn't be supprised if you try to book 2 nights "on sale" you get 1 for £1 and 1 for £59... there you are thinking what a bargin :whistling:
#28
Is that so what date for £30

Just booked 2&3 Jan 08 for £60

After reading your post just been on and checked, it does appear most nights are around the £60 mark, but still not the mega deal everyone seems to think it is.
#30
you can get 3 nights over xmas for £59 a night right now!

#36

#37

#38
Im assuming weekend rooms wont be the £1 rooms then? More likely to be £29. We will see.
#39
starts today!!!

their website will be so slow, you will find a room , get as far as putting all your dealis on the form , the screen will go blank . Bingo - someone else booked your room so its is not avaliable.

Too many people will be using the website at noon so don't waste your time
