This was £5 cheaper two months ago and reached 867 degrees. Still hot
I guess with a ****** exchange rate any imported goods will now be going UP in price - maybe we should buy now!

Yes, I just bought the 500GB version, and so far so good. My only minor criticism would be the power supply where you have to clip on a 2 or 3 pin adaptor, and that seems a bit flimsy.
You could also try this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001BG4QS4/

and this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0017422EA/

The Buffaloo drive from Cdiscount mentioned in the post above has the Samsung drive in it (or at least the one I have does) which has had very good reviews!
does this one have software to allow it to spin down when not in use?
I use the Freecom Media player and Freecom XXS hard drive

Highly recommend both. plays everything and no noise whatsoever. The hard drive is also buspowered so no need for external power supply.

Only problem is I only bought the 160gb hard drive initially and would now like the 500gb as well. Anyone know of any deals on these. Cheapest I've seen is £107 here http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=339502&sourceid=2459&CAWELAID=289032973

Anyone used misco before?
Wouldn't mind one of these but how do you find out if it's got the dodgy HD inside that people have been talking about and trying to avoid of late?

There's also this one that has a 3 year warrant - Any thoughts?
same here

i got one about six months ago, looks very stylish and had no probs with it. In fact im getting another two next week
