Saw an ad in today's Metro newspaper about £1 ticket offer for Vue Cinemas.

The offer is run by a company called KGBDeals, which has nothing to do with the Russian secret service, but a subsidary of 118118.

Offer valid nationally, except Leicester Square cinema.

Says: "Only the name entered below will appear on coupon" on payment screen, does this mean only the person paying can get a voucher? What about my kids and wife? No correct name on voucher, no admission?!

Sue them for the violation of Family rights in the European Court of Human Rights!

As it says, only the name entered below (billing) will appear on the coupon, one per person, I guess its to enforce that, meaning if you want more than one, then your wifes own card would have to be used etc etc etc. Pretty straight forward really.

99p special on a sunday morning anyhow

I am well aware of that, as said its one per person, presumably to stop abuse, there are only 1000 of these.

I guess you will have to just get one for you and your partner and then pay for your kids, still a cheap day at the cinema.

95p ;-)

Yeah the 1 per user is a bit of a pain, what about kids and stuff, but I guess it stops some people who would try and buy 10 at a time.

I think for 3D films you would have to pay a little extra, a bit like how you pay extra when you do the Orange Wednesdays deal for a 3D film.
#12
good deal if you & your mates or whoever you go with pays for their own so voted hot but for families not so good unfortunately.
Also can't be used for Leicester sq or 3d screenings.

Whats the details on this 99p/95p special?
#15
fyi i got 2 by using a slightly "off" postcode...not suggesting people abuse this massively, just it was easier to do that than get one of my friends online using their credit card now :)
#16
I just changed the billing name to my kids name and it still seems to have gone through
#17
just bought x 2 was able to use my same details but different cards so will see if get x 2.
#18
Nice to see that people are already attempting to abuse the system, there are only 1000 of these, considering most people are already going to go for 2 per household, by the time you people abuse it by adding kids names as well, deal is going to be over in the next 3 minutes.
#19
FFS! I don't think the intention was for tickets to be used for kids.

It's a deal, if you can get it great. If you can't get it, they don't owe you anything. You just simply miss out. No one really cares if the kids miss out. Think of yourselves for a change and have a kid free night watching a more adult film.

It's amazing how people think they are entitled to anything and everything.

Wow, there's lots fo 'tards in this thread! ;) Good find OP

But then again you could say that this was intended for Metro readers and by putting it on here it's spoiling it for them.

Well I have noticed now they have added more, it was only showing as 1000 earlier, fortunately they have added more....even so though, it's ridiculous that people are expecting to get tickets for all and sundry.

HUKD.....Feather the Nest...and (.....) the rest.

Do you mean you changed the "card holder name"?
#32
Heat added. Thanks for posting.

Great deal, just hope the site is safe and not now emptying my bank accounts ! Have ordered 4 ( just changed the initial in the cardholders box) I doubt very much that they will check identities at the cinema anyway.

Why is it abusing it? You're paying for the ticket. If my kids have an account and a card, why shouldn't they have a £1 cinema ticket too. I've just ordered 4 for the family.
#37
Has anyone stopped to think whether these guys are legiT?

Gone for this :) Ta muchly!

One Per household....talk about Feathering The Nest, its a limited number of tickets, don't try to justify the fact you are paying £4 for these is not abusing a limited amount of tickets.

I think advertising in a national free newspaper I hope they would be, besides as they only accept Solo as a debit card payment then most people would be insured by paying by Credit Card against fraud.
