Currently, via Cosmos, you can go to the Maldives all inclusive for 1 week in June / July for around £500 - £520 per person (based on 2adults).

Now to me that is a BARGAIN, it was £700 before (I had been keeping an eye on it before booking a different destination), and even that was cheap (its £150 more expensive elsewhere). Why pay £350 for Europe, then whack on £200 for food and drink when you could go relax there?

A dream holiday for me, would have booked if I hadnt picked the caribbean.

Possibly other bargains around if anybody fancies booking a hol

some very good prices there - choice of Gatwick/Manchester departures, plus choice of resorts and board (from B&B to all-inc) :)

my tip would be - for the Jun/Jul period go as late as you can - May & June are probably the wetest months. There was one helluva storm last night, and it's been cloudy all day. If you only go for a week, there's a *chance* you might not see much sun at this time of year. (It's still hot though - 30deg).

I went to the Maldives and have to say, the islands are fine but boring. You have to eventually go to the capital which is full of thieves crooks and the rudest people you could ever have the misfortune to meet. Over 5 people were robbed while I was there including myself, and the police were not interested. The spa's are run by unqualified therapists who are picked off the streets of India and given 6 weeks training and the managers of the island hotels use them as there sex objects who are frightened to say no for fear of being sent back

Sorry that you had a bad experience.
I know people who have loved the place. I do think that you need to be prepared for a very quiet holiday if you book to go there.

Tha Maldives are made up of many islands so you need to choose carefully. I went to Kurumba, one of the first islands to go commercial. I was there for 10 days and have to say that whilst its paradise, it can get a little boring if your a little adventurous..
If all you want to do is sit by the pool, or be by the beach all day (snorkling etc) then this is for you. The islands have some of the best snorkling in the world. If however you like to shop, travel, and generally get upto stuff then maybe a shorter trip would suffice.
I didn't find the locals rude at all whilst there. They were polite and friendly (at least with my family) the whole time. What i did find annoying was the prices. Food, drink, telephone calls, etc are very expensive. You need to factor this into your holiday!
All in all, i'd definaltey come back as they say many of the islands will be under water in 50 years.. But maybe only for 4 or 5 days...

This offer is expired guys. It was from a month ago.
It was cheap in the sale, but then prices went back up by £300 or more...

And rain in July is little different to any other month up until December.

The rain tends to fall at night, and any short showers are soon dried up in no time at all.

It was a great deal, if you like that kind of place.I marked it as expired, but it didnt change.

Not bad prices although Id prefer all inclusive on exotic places like that.
