A thumbs up for the Celeste apartments as well. Stayed there in May and it's great. One of the pubs along the street does steak nights 2 for 25 euros with a bottle of wine Sundays and Thursday if I recall. Whilst very un Spanish food, absolute bargain! I'd recommend hiring a car for the length of stay too as handier if not near the same cost as getting the buses everywhere.

I know the pub you mean and nice bakery/coffee shop to. transfers to resort are only a few euros through Travel Republic and buses only buttons to Peurto del Carmen/Playa Blanca if you felt need to venture further.
Thanks for comment

Lovely place and great price. Also I think lanzarote has one of the best bus services of anywhere I have been

Never been to Canaries so early; can anyone advise on typical weather in March (I know there's no guarantees!). Thx

Around the early twenties I believe

Lanzarote can be a bit windy.

Lanzarote can be a bit windy.

I think all the Canaries are?.

Puerto Del Carmen seems to be best for the weather as when we stayed at Costa Teguise it was windy and cloudy and travelled to Puerto Del Carmen where it was really hot and then travelled back and it was cloudy again. I think its cuss Carmen is more south?.

Great deal, only ever been to Tenerife, so whats peoples views on the best resort to go to in terms of things to do? Not looking for wall to wall clubs or dead by 1030pm

I went to Costa Teguise in Feb this year. Weather was changeable. Very hot some days, quite chilly others. This resort worked for us - we went with a 4,2 and 1 year old - but if you want entertainment other than beaches and parks this probably isn't the place for you. Bars and restaurants were all quiet.

We stayed in Playa Blanca and while it was lovely looking and very clean there's very little to do at night, we found ourselves along with what seemed like everyone else just walking to the Rubicon Marina and back. All the bars are empty and no one seemed to want to go in (very weird).

The good thing about the canaries is they're still warm if a little windy when other places are cold :)

We traveled around the island and thought Peurto del Carmen was the best because at was so varied and seemed to have a lot more to do and see while still looking nice.

Been to all resorts in Lanzorte and Peurto Del Carmen ticks all the boxes.

Celeste Apartments are well located in the middle of Costa Teguise, if in need of a bit of TLC - I was there with my wife last October. Great for a week away and well within walking distance of the beach and the main square (where you can find more traditional Spanish food and regular entertainment). I'd recommend the Tex-Mex restaurant there, and closer to the beach the Dolphin pub does some fantastic UK-centric food, as well as regular quizzes, all the sport you could want and a great view of the sea. Don't forget about the aquarium too, a bit small but worthwhile for a couple of hours. Weather should be fine, but I'd take a cardy and long trousers for the evening if you're going between November and March - the wind becomes more chilly than cooling!
