Notes:
-Games are rented, not bought.
-Payment is for a voucher that must be applied
-Remember (set a reminder) to cancel or at least review before renewal ($99.99 per year) in 1 year's time.
-You appear to need a payment method stored to download games. Payment is in dollars or euros, and some cards have been rejected for technical reasons: This person had to turn off IPv6 to make a payment.
-When searching for games, use category filters (e.g. 'Shooter (FPS)', 'Indie Games', 'Roleplaying' etc.). To help you find other games, game pages have related games and metacritic scores. However, there's lots of no-name games that clutter up the listings.

From the Oneplay FAQs:
"All you need to do is download, activate, and PLAY. After you activate a game, you do not need an internet connection to play The system will check the subscription status on a regular basis. All games can be installed on 2 different PC's and played whenever you feel like it."

A lot of great games there. I'd add more heat if I could for the extra effort :).

Yes, I think the affiliate program relationship has closed down somwhere between hduk and oneplay... I have updated the description to state:
"Updated: url doesn't work, see the 2-for-1 offers in the 'latest offers' list at the bottom of oneplay.com"

If it wasn't for the auto renewal I would be all over this.

If it wasn't for the auto renewal I would be all over this.

That's the only thing stopping me and the fact that you need to keep an active card on to be able to download games kind of shows they are hoping people forget to cancel the auto renewal. Looks good but also pretty sneaky.

Just put a calendar reminder in (with URLs) for 23 month's time.
Heat from me - silly price for a whole lot of gaming!

My card will have probably expired anyway but it's based on principle not practice.

TBH, It's not a sustainable business model - relying on a few forgetful people with distant card expiries to forget to cancel in 2 years time.
If $5 isn't enough to cover their overheads for 2 years, they'll go out of business before the end of the 2 years anyway but that doesn't mean that you can't take advantage of some cheap thrills until then, using a short-expiry card as you say ;)

Showing as $10 for me as well.

To be honest I've never heard of this service but it does look interesting. Anyone here ever used it. What are the download speeds like?

Too many businesses run like it now unfortunately.

Business studies is over for today!
