Don't know how they make money out of this but I was in Card Factory in Livingston and they were selling 10 general birthday cards for £1. Alright to have if you forget someones birthday, for 10p a card! Let me know if you seen a similar offer near you!

#3
yep-its a good deal-they pretty much always have this on-have done for a coupla years.

Always on in our store too. They also usually do some slightly better cards for 10 for £2 I keep a stock for when the kids getinvited to parties, problem is everyone knows I am organised so when they forget they come to me for a spare so I get through them quite quick.

Goes to show what mugs we all are for paying upwards of £1.00 for this waste of time/space/money/resources.

I have only EVER sent cards to save me bothering to visit people that send me cards which saves them bothering to visit.

Never see them and probably never will, so WHY BOTHER?

It's time they were outlawed.

You can't beat Card Factory, why pay 30 times more at Clintons etc?

exactly they have really cheap cards and my local shop is always very busy

I reckon the recession and credit crunch could be really good for card factory, as people realise how absurd it is spending so much money on a card. Especially as most people (especially kids) don't really read them anyway and just check if there is any cash inside.:w00t:

The quality of cards are really good value for the money, decent choice aswell

wow how freaky i had a call wud u believe off someone from card factorys head office this morning calling me tracy! asking her to give her a ring! hahaha :P weird!!!!!!! good deal tho hot!!

cold, I far prefer paying £3.70 per card at clintons the paper is far superior (not!) , bye bye Cinton your days are numbered.

Or as some say ... your "cards" are marked :-(

Yep .. card factory are unbeatable..

The downside is the end of hundreds of small independant card shops ( and post offices) that cannot compete.
No doubt when they have all closed card factory will raise their prices.

The Milton Keynes store has this offer running at the moment already.

I think Clinton Cards take the mickey with the prices they charge for their cards. I will never spend more than a quid on a card!

But 10p a card is a pretty good deal!

The Works does this kind of this too

Same in Lincoln, always on and they're not bad cards either, especially for childrens' birthday parties. You can't beat Card Factory for value, far more reasonable when they only end up in a recycle bin somewhere after a few days.

Where in Livingstone is the card shop/factory please. Doesn't say on the link.

I saw this at the weekend and thought it was a great price also (I know they have done this before - but havent noticed it for a while...)

Agree however most independant card shops do not charge the stuip rip off cost of Clinton, if you have a local shop support it

I have a stash of these in my locker at work, good for when last minute birthday's pop up when totally unprepared for  thanks for post :)
