Just been in to Morrisons on the look out for some cheap cans of lager to take to Glastonbury and came across this amazing deal.

The bottles are £1.67 each separately this works out as 50p a bottle for the Pear and 80p a bottle for the Strawberry Mixed Pear.

£5 For 10 Bottles Brothers 4.7% Pear Cider
£8 For 10 Bottles Brothers Strawberry Mixed Pear Cider

If you haven't tried this before its well worth a go for the price!

I've paid £18 before today for a box of 20 from the Brother's website for new year so this is a bargain!

Just to add it says it finishes on 28th July, i'm going back after payday on Friday to get a couple of boxes to see us through the summer!

The £8 deal is steep, all they do is add strawberry squash to the normal Pear cider (look at the percentages or watch them make it at the Brothers Cider bus in a little over a week). The £5 deal is ace though, much nicer than Magners, etc. Only better one is Koppenberg (IMHO).

By the way, don't take glass to Glasto. If they check your bag it won't be allowed through. It is also a danger for the cows afterwards apparently

This is a fab deal - the only cider I drink myself. Defo need to get a few boxes of both!!!
Just a shame they don't do plastic bottles as the perfect drink for festivals...

Yeah i know its only Strawberry Syrup but still quite nice and £8 is like half price so still quite a good price even if it is a bit more compared to the £5 for the pear.

I know your not allowed glass at glasto, i was looking for canned lager and just seen this...will be buying the ice cold festival stuff from the brothers bus and keep myself topped up with some cheap lager. I usually take myself a couple of crates of carlsberg as thats usually the cheapest i can get in cans.
Got a week to keep my eye out,,,any ideas welcome!

How big are the bottles?
#6
These are 250ml bottles (half the size of the normal 500ml bottles).

I can't understand why the strawberry cider is £8.00 but the pear cider is only £5.00.....doesn't really make sense!

I'm on the lookout for cheap cans too, though every year I say I am not going to bring them as I hate warm beer. My fave for glasto is a 1l of vodka and a 1l of summer fruits high juice. Every morning mix 1/4 of each with 1/2 l cold water for a nice cool breakfast drink

Variety is the spice of life my friend

Cider is far from a drink for lightweights, it is one of the most traditional english beverages and often is both stronger and has a fuller flavour than most beers. If you are a lager drinker then you really need to look at yourself first and get on the proper alcoholic drinks like stouts, ales and wines :whistling:

I thought brothers was like 7%?

These are stubby bottles, not the full size bottles.
Neither can you buy the stubby bottles seperatley at the moment.
They are on sale in Morrisons.
Asda are also selling the full size bottles for £1 at the moment.

So same price for each offer, just depends whether you want big or small bottles.

Pity the small ones aren't plastic bottles.

So not really that hot price wise, just a new product.

MY high horse? Sounds like mad little bob needs a recap!

YOU rode into this CIDER thread on your 'horse' and posted this drivel :

"still if you can't take drink I supose these alcopop tarts drinks will do for some people",

"lager is for girls",

"Is this not pretend beer for people who really cannot stomach proper alchohol",

"I drink Whisky and Guinness (usually at the same time)"

I simply knocked you off your imaginary horse and gave you the slaps you deserved for being moronic

*sigh* which is why I wrote that you were doing so well (telling me off from your mighty perch) until you fell and sank to my level. :D read it a few times and you might actually understand that I was using what is called self depreciation no? nevermind

Don't bother to work yourself up into an even frothier rant I really don't care you know :p

*sigh* Self depreciation does not work when you enter a thread as an anonymous person. It has to be assumed that your intended view is as written, as there is no known level ground to gauge your words on.

Perhaps you are less of a tit than you seem, and simply found it entertaining to post such remarks; or perhaps you are a judgemental moron. From your posts I think it was fair to assume the latter.

I just saw on MSE that the packs of 10 x 250ml bottles of Brother's Pear Cider are now 4 for £15 in Morrisons, so work out at £3.75 each.

Also included in the 4 for £15 deal are packs of 10 x 275 ml bottles of Coors Light, 10 x 250 ml bottles of Stella and 10 x 250ml bottles of Grolsch. In truth, the deal on the Stella and Grolsch is nothing special, but the Coor Light is cheap if you drink it.
