Found it, not going for it though
its miniumum 24 month term, 24.99 a month after that for the next year.
i used to run a hosting company, and thats extremely expensive for the services they offer.

The top £24.99 pack = net cost of £9.79/month over the 2 year term (after quidco) and also includes 10 .co.uk domains worth £59.80 giving a net/net of £7.30/month over the 2 year term

and that is the most expensive - the basic pack starts at £1.99/month

I was with these years back. We are getting ripped off compared to their USA packages. I got a family member in USA to sign up for me and pay them every year, now costs me £10 a year which the UK company charged me £250 a year.

US Vs UK fee differences are nothing new. Great if you can manage it via US party however if you can't I then it's how good is it Vs others in the UK. Seems agood deal to me.

I can vouch for 1&1, we've had our work accounts with them for about 8 years now and they are very reliable.

If you're planning to run a CMS based site with these guys, look out for the number of MySQl databases you can have. The "business" package only lets you have 2 (and they apply restrictions on what you can use them for). I'd investigate thouroughly before signing up!

Are these prices inclusive of VAT, or will thqat be another nasty surprie, too

yes I found the same thing if you're based in the UK they charged a lot more for a .COM domain in UK Pounds then the same exact domain bought in Dollars

years ago I had a nightmare with 1and1 taking up a similar 12 months free offer and when I wanted to cancel some of the free domain name they constantly renewed them and charged me for them - this went on for about 2 years - the company was a complete nightmare to deal with.

I'd highly recommend being very careful about having your hosting and domain names on the same account

the exact same thing happened to me. I took up the free .info domains. I cancelled them before the 12 months were up and got charged anyway. Lost about £80. The bank wouldnt do anything. There exact words in their letter to me were " You authorised 1and1 to use your debit card when you took out there services, therefore any transactions that followed have been authorised by you"

They can take money out of my account today if they feel like it because acording to the bank, i let them use my card once, they can use it when they like thereafter.

This was HSBC, i have not used my account with them for 6 years now and when tis happened I moved to the USA company and never had a problem in 6 years.

Hosting in the UK is bound to be more expensive that US hosting, as the operational costs are higher. Space and Power, particularly in the London datacentres, are at a premium.
