It certainly is!!!

I don't understand why dealfinders don't state the cost per litre (or, with cheese and the like, the cost per kilo).

24*0.44 = 10.56litres. £10 / 10.56 = 95p per litre.

Even better than the 3 packs of 15*0.44 for 20quid they were doing at half-term (£1.01 per litre)! I need to find more storage space.

Picked up 2 crates of the stuff a few days ago, a bargain.

Not sure if it's just my local Sainsburys (I go there every other day on lunch) but they seem to be £12 one day, £10 another, £12 one day... this isn't the first type of offer that changes daily though. No clue what's up with my store, they can never make their minds up with offers :D

Just to put this into perspective -

When I was 17 (16 years ago), me and the lads used to go to the supermarket and get 24 cans of Hoffmeister or Kestrel and split the cost for a few cheap and nasty lagers before hitting the town. Sometimes we'd be 'lucky' and get the 500ml cans rather than the 440ml.

And how much did these 24 cans cost us back then?

That's right - £10.

Hot. :w00t:

This has been going on for the last 3-4 days - I thought someone would have posted it before now - either way hot - funny thing is they have the 15 packs for £12 as a "manager's special"! :whistling:

WTF??? I was in the Oldbury branch last Friday and the offer there was £12 for 24? Are prices different store to store???
#21
It was in Ipswich last week - thought it was national. Even better if you get the Nectar card offer through the post in the last fortnight for £4 off a £20 shop. £16 for 48 cans ;-)

As cheap as p*ss (and tastes like it too ;-) )

It never ceases to amaze me the people that come on here moaning and sticking their oar in on these deals that they clearly don't like the drink that's on offer, why bother to comment and clutter up the board? Just walk on by, I don't like about 70% of the deals posted here these days but I don't feel the urge to comment on every one saying; 'This is rubbish, I don't like it' or 'I hate the taste of these' no one cares what you think :whistling::p

That will do for my Friday rant! :-D

My apologise, didn't really mean it to sound so harsh more of generalisation really, usually these beer deals get rammed full of people leaving one line comments like, it tastes crap, or why would you drink this muck etc etc, just annoys me and the fact that last week it was £12 for 24 in my local will be going there again tonight and if it's still £12 some complaining I will be doing!

Purchased 13 crates, should keep me going through the world cup at that price until the goverment put the price up per unit
