Summer's here, which means you'll be needing to treat your peepers to a bit of protection. Groupon and 2020 Optical Store are offering you the chance to pay only £10 for a £60 voucher, redeemable against a pair of designer sunglasses or designer glasses of your choice. Okay, let's put it another way... with this deal you effectively get £50 off your dream glasses. And the guys at 2020 are packing some serious designers on their shelves, including Gucci, Prada, Armani and Dior. Not too shabby, eh?

2020 is an award winning optician on Tottenham Court Road with the biggest range of designer frames in London, that's quite a claim to fame. The highly trained staff here take pride in their commitment to top quality eye care, value for money, and customer satisfaction. They also appreciate how important looking good is, so the selection in styles and the latest fashions in frames are endless.

We think you'll agree this is a brilliant Groupon. 83% off. Can't be bad. It's a rare treat to sample the delights of London's best glasses collection, in the bustling and convenient surroundings of Tottenham Court Road. We know you're very attached to the old things, but we think it's time to bin your Deirdre Rasheed shockers and get yourself down to 2020.

REVIEWS:

"They are the largest eye specialists I've seen in Central London. Its almost like a glass house. From the light weight titanium frames to the plastic stuff, they are very up to date in their business."

why negative?

I know the website is rubbish and gives no prices but surely this should be a good deal?

People sceptical after the last mycity sunglasses deal and other deals which have been less than transparent.

I'm not sure if my citydeal has quite figured out that that while they use social networking to promote their products, it also allows negative feedback to disseminate very quickly.

what happened with that last sunglasses deal?

It was a different retailer, prices for some of the glasses were inflated on the day the vouchers were able to be used.

There is a big thread on moneysavingexpert.com about it, they got involved as they had promoted the deal and it seems everything was sorted.

But beware it happened several times before that and is bound to happen again, and mycitydeal has a has a tendency to play dumb when confronted with the facts.

The last sunglasses deal all worked out fine. They changed the prices when the vouchers were released but committed to previous prices. Dodgy but it worked itself out. ie raybans for £45.

My concern about this deal is no prices or what is available on the website

I have given it a go, had a few decent deals from mycitydeal so going to give this one a go..

I may regret it but hopefully not. the website is awful but since they are a large retailer, should hopefully have some decent glasses at not too high a price instore..
