I can't see anything on the site?
#2
Correct me if im wrong, but i just went through about 4 different sites in a matter of seconds to get to lastminute.com

is this a referal id? looks it at the address bar with it being linked through google ads?
#3
This offer is advertised in todays free Metro newspaper.
#4
Changed link. Previously went through google to find lastminute.com, which gave a rather long url address. Not a referel. Sorry.
#5
can anyone show me the link to the deal or a code from metro or however I can find the deal - many thanks
#6
this happened last thursday - are they doing it again then?
#7
It looks like they are going to be doing a varied range of offers, 2 for 1 spa, theatre tickets from £10 also. Got them advertised on the site.
#8
cant see any £10 rooms
#9
Didn't this promotion start last Thursday? I got emails from both lastminute.com and ipoints about it.

Awful hotel, I got married at the Barbican and we had about 15 rooms and 2 Suites reserved at the Thistle, they were the most unhelpful, obnoxious staff I've ever encountered anywhere.
#14
lol @ the deal. dont keep your hope toooo high about getting a room. some people do, but most rooms are eiter already booked or are just "ghost/fake" rooms which are not actually on sale but just printied for booking- a booking whihc will never happen. good luck anyway- you will need it
#15
i tried last week and was unlucky,
very limited range of dates available and the site was so slow!!!:oops:will try again , but do not hold out much hope. Great way to drive traffic to their site
#16
spoke to mate at lastminute.com

"was just that one day, that had to be done for two days as someone told the newspaper it was the wrong day"

so, in other words. Not going to happen!!!!!
#17
I've seen the ad in todays metro too, its on page 4.

Ad says....

"Going, Going...
£10 hotel rooms from 10am tomorrow
you snooze you lose
we're 10 and loving it."

Keep away from Lastminute they work with the worst hotels in the world! rubish!:x

Here we go again....
#22
Good luck to anyone who can get one but it is just a marketing stunt to get people onto their site - i tried last week and every time i chose a hotel (that was showing as available) the site crashed.

I cant believe they are doing it again when they clearly havent got the systems to cope with the level of traffic. There were very few hotels/rooms available, especially considering the amount of publicity, so i wouldnt bother unless you've got nothing else better to do.

Other thing is all the hotel rooms are of the "top secret" variety so its pot luck as to what you'll get.
#23
my mystery hotel was also a thistle last week, are they about to go into liquidation or something?? lol
#24
yeh i agree- its a marketing stunt to get people onto thier website and get word of mouth going

hardly anyone gets the hotels really

and the ones who do get them are stuck with awful hotels e.g. top secret hotels which you dont even know the name of or where it exactly is untill they have taken money from your card

Given that last weeks offer had a detailed page about the £10 offer, does anyone think this is just a mistake in print...a week late ?

I can't see anything referring to it on the site, I know it doesn't start till 10am but last week there was a list of T&C's in relation to the offer.

Unless I've just not spotted it, has anyone got a link if I'm wrong ? :)
#26
misprint methinks, still no info on the site at 10:01
#27
yeah, probably misprint. Definitely not fair.
#28
Are they allowed to do that? False advertising etc??

firstly- no there not, they could get a bigg fine if they did advertise falsly (if someone complains that is)
secondly- i think this thread was full of wrong information- i did not see any £10 sale info on thier website yesterday (the banners for the £10 sale were from last week!)
thirdly- monkeybrains should be listened to more:thumbsup:

 not on :-(

Sorry, but I think you are the one who's confused. If you had read properly, you would know that this deal was posted as a result of a print advertisement in a newspaper, so whether or not there was also a banner on the website is irrelevant.

I have no idea, but that's not the point - my problem was that you seemed to be saying that people in this thread had their facts wrong, when that was not the case. Lastminute.com made an error, but HUKDers did not. Multiple people saw the advertisement, so whether or not there was also a corresponding ad on their website for you to go and look at isn't relevant, as you seemed to think it was.

Every time I search on lastminute I wished I'd saved my time. No hotels came up and I searched on the right day. Lots of crashing. I don't blame the poster - thanks anyway. It's lastminute who is at fault for leading us all up the garden path. Again.
