A cheap family outing during the summer hols!
£10 instead of £34 for a summer family day out for four including animal petting, activity centre admittance, go karting plus two happy meals at Ferry Farm - Save 71%
Have you ever seen Big Barn Farm? If not you haven't lived. We're talking farm yard intrigue, goat herd gossip and cow related conspiracy theories from the likes of Petal the piglet, Gobo the ‘kid’ goat, Dash the young donkey and Digger the puppy. The fact that us Grouponions became wholly engrossed today in one such episode is testament to the universal appeal of little farmyard critters. Our hearts were in our mouths when the wee muck-dwellers fell foul of some robbers: "Come on Gobo, to the barn, someone's stealing the milk". With today's Groupon two adults and two children can enjoy all the delights of the farmyard, as well as the activity centre, go karting and a complementary lunch for your little piglets, at Ferry Farm.
So what can you expect from your day out (which clocks up at a mere £2.50 a head if we're being precise)? Well there's a whole host of activities on offer such as the indoor activity centre which is suitable for all ages and great fun in any weather; the adventure playground with an assault course and zip line; tractor rides and a go karting track. And of course there are the creatures great and small, whom you can ogle, feed and pet to your heart's content. Sadly, Arnie the 6'4" Bull passed away not long ago but his legacy lives on amongst the bovine folk. Talking of cows, your Groupon also entitles you to two burger meals to keep your little ones going all day. We're being crass, of course: vegetarian options are also available.
With the summer holidays in full swing, this is the perfect way to entertain the kids and have a good time yourself. We always enjoy ventriloquising the pigs. The only thing that could possibly be better than Ferry Farm would be a farm on a ferry, but that would be SO passé. Noah already aced it.
What people are saying...
"Our children love to visit this place. There's plenty of opportunities for the children to pet animals and at certain times of year they get to pet baby ones. Theres a good playground for toddlers and an additional bonus area for the very little ones. Our little boy loves the tractor area for toddlers, trying to drag him away can become difficult at times though! There's a picnic area outside, alternatively you can eat in the tea room on site (highchairs provided)."
"I took my 21 month old toddler to Ferry Farm today. It was easy to find, sign posted off the A612, between Lowdham and Southwell. Plenty of car parking. Great farmyard where children can run free with the hoards of friendly animals and birds. There were chickens, ducks, bantams, geese, baby goats, rabbits, and piglets loose. Calves/baby lambs, guinea pigs, litter of kittens(!)in pens in a barn and some gorgeous pigs in a pen outside. You can buy a little bag of food (50p) for the animals."
