I don't think they are quite that big! :w00t:

The ones in Farm Foods say 'large' on the box.

The ones in Asda are of variable size, but minimum net weight is 805g

Ahhh so you save a penny compared to farmfoods, or maybe don't even have a FF nearby, and probably get more egg juice for yer pound in these than asda's. 10 times a better deal than either of those :whistling:

an 805g egg thats a monster surely:p

Apparently there are four official sizes of eggs:
very large (73g and over), large (63g to 73g), medium (53g to 63g), and small (under 53g).
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/ask-an-expert/consumer/article.html?in_article_id=483078&in_page_id=
This would make the Asda ones medium on average, but as the size varies there may be some larger and some smaller ones included.
#23
Always buy theses eggs from aldi the ones from asda a very small compared to aldis

No one so fair has found cheaper eggs and yet cold votes, have some balls and say why you chickens :-D
#28
Thats a cracking price for eggs. Not a lot to shell out at all!
#29
Knew it wouldn't be long before someone made a terrible yolk...
#30
This was in the hot section and now it's not....I'm spitting feathers about it and it's fowl that people can vote cold without a reason, I'm eggstremely annoyed about it. This is an eggstra special cracking deal and shouldn't be put down. Shame on you eggstremists.
#31
Everybody is scrambling to vote it cold. Still, kept me hentertained...

Ah fair enough, but if it was more than a month ago then it's valid and can be re-submitted, so an eggcellent deal...sorry I just can't stop myself.

Did you know that extra large eggs and some large eggs come out with blood on them as they are too big to comfortably lay. If you care about animals, buy medium eggs and free range. I agree it is a good price, but think of the price the hen pays. Not only are they cooped up with a pretty poor existence, but then they have to pass something th size of thir own head. Not nice.
Buy free range. You can afford it with the money you save on this site.

Sorry Voted cold. Hopefully it will cool down the chickens ass.

Free range is exactly that, the chickens can roam around the land free from cages. Battery Hens, also known as Caged are cooped up all their life in little boxes to spit out eggs all day long.

Basicaly it's a moral issue. You either think its cruel to lock em' up or it's a bloody good deal so to hell with it. After all they are just hens :whistling:

BRING ON THE MONSTER EGGS... HOT, HOT, HOT

Edit... Reading back on my post I'm gonna get my ass burned by all the PETA freaks oops!

agreed. also, this is not a deal, it's the normal price of the item and is not particularly unusual or cheap compared to other shops. cold.
