First post so hope its ok. Be kind lol.
Havent had a chance to test this as my local store hasnt got any in stock. So please reply anyone who does try let us know that it works.

PLEASE NOTE the way this deal works it basically gets you 20% anything you buy at halfords. IPOD is an example as its what im looking at buying for myself using it.
-----------------

The halfords website gives you 10% off EVERYTHING for this weekend only.

Most importantly this includes 10% of vouchers.

-----------------

There are few things we need to do

1) Reserve and collect IPOD Classic 80gb for £143.10
2) Reserve and collect say 7 x £20 vouchers for £126

-----------------

3) Go to store collect your vouchers.
Remember you have just paid £126 for £140 worth of vouchers.

4) Collect your IPOD classic from store and pay the £143.10

Thats using the

£140 in vouchers ((((((£126 in REAL money))))))
and £3.10 in your own money.

So grand total comes to

£129.10

------------------

Please note i havent been able to test this just realised it could do done tonight while searching for IPOD myself and my local hasnt got any in stock.

So this can indeed be used for any item bought in halfords.

As long as in your local store you can reserve and collect both your item and the vouchers.

-------------------

Feedback welcome
Enjoy.

It may say that but the site does otherwise i have just added a £20 gift voucher to the basket and it does indeed deduct 10% taking it to 18!!!
Then on the next page it states:
" The price you see is the price you pay, even if it is cheaper than the usual in store price!"

in bold so may be worth doing and grabbing a screenshot back this up!

Hi, how do you do a screenshot and how do you save it for future use? Thanks.

Hit the printsc button then open paint via start>accessories.paint and select edit then paste, or if you are in Firefox you can save the page by file then save page as. what i have found to be an invaluable piece of software is cute pdf writer http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp
you can save the entire page as a pdf document I now use this instead of printing confirmations when buying online and only print from the pdf if i need a paper copy for whatever reason, once installed it will be listed under printers when you go to print!

If youve got Vista Premium or above a free piece of software is included called Snipping Tool. (Enter snipping in the start>search box). Its dead easy to use and saves whatever you select as a jpeg which you can save or email. Found it by accident a few weeks back and cant believe its not known more widely.

One hitch with this plan is that you cannot seem to reserve vouchers for in store collection. Not a single store comes up with them as available if you proceed beyond the basket (well in my area anyway).
#11
It's more like 18.8% off as you are saving 10% from the original price that has already been reduced by 10%, plus a bit more of your own money (IF the voucher thing works)

or simply 129.1/159 = 81.2% of the original price.

Still, Hot Hot Hot!!!

no gift vouchers in stock anyway

Hi just called Halfords Old Kent Road store in London and got confirmation that you can buy the vouchers and get 10% discount so this idea really does work well done with the post . Voted very hot unfortunately no Ipods in stock in london.

Title is misleading.. amended now :)

according to the website none of my local stores have vouchers or 80gb Ipods, ah well, good try :)

Just used this offer to buy a Parrot bluetooth handsfree kit, should be £149 inc free fitting which was a bargain in itself as other quotes I'd received were around the £220 mark so getting another £15 off was brilliant

... voted hot

Stores have them in stock, but you can't reserve them online. Took my screen print showing 10% discount off the vouchers to my store, sales assistant said "no problem - we did this in training this morning ".. Result! Or so I thought. Manager came over to authorise the discount, and wouldn't as he said vouchers are excluded for legal reasons (and no profit margin in them), so although this post was a good idea in theory, in practice you can't get 10% off the vouchers & then use the vouchers to pay for something else you've reserved also with 10% off. (I was trying to get the Route 66 Mini Sat Nav for £81)

Unless anyone has had a different experience? Still, I've voted hot as good idea that nearly worked.
